i reformatted recently and upon reinstalling my office XP, my microsoft word hasn't been working. i reinstalled office and the problem was not resolved. i reformatted once again and installed office and word worked at first, but now is not working. all other office xp programs work fine. when i load word, it freezes on the splash screen. the next time i try to load it, it asks me if i want to open in safe mode. safe mode works fine, but then upon opening it the next time, it freezes again on the splash screen. at the very least, is there a way i can have it open on safe mode as default?
Have you tried installing the Word updates and Office XP service pack? http://office.microsoft.com then go to Check for Updates
