Luke Walton is doing terrible in LA. People are saying he might be traded. Should the Rockets offer a second round pick + something for him?

The guy can't defend or shoot well, but he's a very innovative passer. He might become the second best passer behind T-Mac on this team. With him, the fans won't be complaining about our guys won't/can't pass to Yao anymore... at least not as much.

Bowen. Works perfectly. And neither will prosper in new surroundings either.

Maybe he's an alright passer, can he do anything else well?

Would he really be in the NBA right now if his dad wasn't you know who?

Would he REALLY be any form of an upgrade?

We already have have Padget imho and it will not serve us well to add another duplicate player. We already have "two pairs" of unwanted duplicity in Juwan-Motay and Ward-Spoon. The later pair specialize in duplicating suckiness.

PS. The last thing we need now is for Bill Walton to tell us that Sura is going to revolutionize America.

Luke would be a great addition. Yes he's got great court awareness and knows how to pass the ball, infact he's got such a natural instinct for it as he makes difficult passes look simple and adds style to it. He's always looking to pass, has that pass first, shoot second mentality.

He loves to run and try and get that easy basket. He's got a decent 3pt shot. He's not a slasher but is constaintly on the move. He doesn't force shots. Just knows how to play the game and has a natual instinct for it.

He's defense isn't bad, he's not the best at one on one defender but he's a great help defensive player. He's not going to block anyones shot but he will force a player to pass on most doubles. He's faster than most would think(much quicker than padget) and he's got quick hands. He doesn't get called for fouls often and knows how to play defense under control but aggressively.

He knows what his strengths are and his limits and doesn't try to do more than he should. He's a great team player.

He doesn't play much in LA becuase at SF, he's behind Caron Butler, Lamar Odom and Jumaine Jones.

    I would take him.

He has some skills and is a very good passer.

He would instantly be the 2nd best entry passer on the Rockets, just behind Barry.

You think? In my opinion Tmac is our best entry passer.

Do you really think Yao can catch his passes? I don't want any no-look pass to scare our once-in-a-life-time franchise center. Charlie Ward is good enough for Yao already. Too sad he is still on injured list.

Luke moves really well without the ball. He is excellent at reading the defense and exploiting openings created by double teams. He is exactly the type of hard-nosed cherry picker we need to compliment our two super stars. :)

Tmac is a very creative passer, but he rarely makes the entry pass to Yao at that exact second in which Yao has the advantage.

Barry makes the pass AS Yao is getting position and Yao can instantly react to it, and score.

The rest of the team get it to Yao and Yao still has to work to score.

Not sure if I am describing it well enough.

No, I know what you're saying. Barry will look for Yao and hit him early, before the defense gets a chance to get set. Certainly a good thing, and something we should look to do more often.

Luke is the definition of role player. He'll never try and do more than he can handle. I think he would work out here pretty well because he does have that team player mentality. And plus we could probably get Bill to come to our practices more and probably instruct Yao a bit.

Luke would be great. Only shoots open shots. Can handle a bit. Great passer for a 3 of course. Not horrible defensively. Will hustle.

Passing, chemistry necessary...he improves that. Will hustle as much as Bowen..just not as athletic or as quick or anything.

I can't help hearing Bill Walton's voice as I read this.
I also notice that this is your first post.

    Bill?

Haha. Exactly what I was thinking. Luke's not too bad, but he's no better than any of the guys we've got except maybe Bowen.
