As everyone expected, 1 playoff loss, and we have 1000 injuries on the BBS. Most of those are broken ankles and legs from jumping of the bandwagon. Haters, drama queens, identify yourself.
No kidding man. All the sudden everything is horrible, the world is coming to an end, cats and dogs living together..... Seriously, the Roxs played as bad a game as a team, 4 players actually, can play. Somehow we were still in striking distance late in the 4th. The Roxs will in on Sat. and they'll finish the job on Monday in Houston
The Rockets are still going to win this series. They really need to get their act together, quickly, though. If they play like this vs. Dallas, they'll be swept. Gotta find some shooting touch at some point.
Guess it's either you are with us or against us huh? No room for uncertainty? This is going to be a tough series - anyone who thinks it's in the bag doesn't underestimates the Jazz. And by the same token, it's entirely possible we pull out game 4. Really don't know what will happen, I guess it depends on whether or not this team can make the better adjustments.
Been supporting the Rox for 20 years and one playoff f*ckup isn't gonna change that. One bad game was due...now it's over with and time to move on
Jazz played hard, but we played poorly and were still in it up until the end. After this game, I have more conviction that this series is ours to win or giveaway.
Did someone edit the title of the thread? In the forum list it says "off the bandwagon yet?" but when I click on it, the title says "will the rockets beat the jazz?"
I voted with the majority. Isn't the wording of the poll a bit biasesed? Sort of reminds me of some of the President's polling.
Talk about your terrible poll options... even though I'd vote yes, could you maybe give a "No" option that doesn't have your opinion about the person voting attached to it? Here's a good example: Is User X being an ass? 1) Yes! He's being an ass. 2) No, I don't know how to spot an ass so can't be for sure. 3) No, I would never call anyone an ass but he's a punk. 4) No, but he overreacts to all those who overreact.
Nobody's going to admit they overreact to a loss. All you have to do is check the postgame threads to see who overreacts to those who doesn't.
I think it is mostly just a matter of people underestimating the Jazz, the Jazz have held double digit leads in EVERY single game so far this series. They are no slouches, the finished with the 5th best record in the west for a reason. They finished with the 3rd best home record in the NBA only behind the Suns and Mavs. People were thinking all it would take is the Rockets improve over Game 1-2 like it was a guarantee. This is going to be a long and tough series, the Jazz needed last game like no other, the Rockets didn't play with the same type of attitude, which I expected and played a 48 minute flat shooting game, turnovered the ball 19 times, and maybe would of shot better blindfolded. The Jazz have a good team, no way in hell was this going to be a sweep. If the Rockets can reel off a victory in Game 4 they will be sitting pretty with 3 games just to win 1, and 2 of which would be at home.
No. The thread title is "Off the bandwagon yet?". The poll question is "Will the Rockets beat the Jazz?".
Poll's a bit to polarized for me. A "This was always going to be a tough series, I'm fine" would be nice for people like me. No one called sweep but homers. Evan
Worst Rocks playoff game ever. 67 points. Only 4 players score. And I'll still be watching & posting 1, 2 and 10 years from now. If you can't handle the ride see Cohen's sig (no not the orange part.)
I voted for "overreacting to a loss" I mean I was almost pulling a spazzed out German kid playing Counterstrike last night. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kBVmfIUR1DA I was pissed as hell last night but on reflection, and beer, this series is far from over and last night's game was winnable. For that matter it was ridiculous to declare the series over after the first two games that were narrowly won by us. The Jazz are a tough team who match up well with us and they needed to come out and play with desperation and fire which they did. I'm still on that Rox bandwagon and will ride it until we go to the championship or go off the cliff ala Thelma and Louise GO ROX!
Where's the option for "I thought this was going to be a really tough series from the start, and that's still what I think... don't know who's gonna win."?
