Honestly, if I were Carson Palmer I'd agree to go back to Cincy with the drama queens gone. I cant imagine playing on a team with someone who needs so much attention.

"legit deep threat" is not the word to describe OchoCinco. He was hardly that in his prime. He'll be good, mainly because of Brady, but they could get the same production out of someone much cheaper imo. It's not a bad move, though.

He actually liked Chad and Owens. His problem is with ownership.

What's he gonna do when he's in the endzone? Put on an oversized hoody and brood his way back to the bench?

Tate is definitely the deep threat.

Apparently Ocho will be anything for number 85.

    Who cares?

    He sucks.

He played a full season last year and his QB threw for 4,000 yards yet he managed to find the end zone a whopping four times. Four. Not to mention, only 800-something yards on the season and was overlooked in favor of a guy that's nearly 40-years-old.

Welker will remain their most dangerous and productive WR. Sure, Brady is good enough to make ANYBODY look good but agreed with the poster earlier that said you could plug anybody into the role Ochocinco will play and get similar results (minus the attention-whoring).

    Not a chance.

Your love for his personality is blinding you to the fact that he's been trash for the past couple years.

I want to see how this works out.

Look Randy Moss, when he was in Oakland, people thought he was done, and traded to the patriots and almost all (if not all) thought he wasnt going to do well.

I think he's going to be more successful than you think. 800 yards and 4 TD's is not as bad as you make it sound. Those are respectable numbers and far better than league average. A couple better games and he could've easily had 1000 yards and 6 tds which is very good. Also he missed 2 games so he could have probably gotten the numbers I projected just by playing period.

He averages around 1100 yards and 7.5 TD's for his career. I think a change of scenery and having Brady toss him the ball will do wonders.

Sure Carson threw a lot of TD's but he also threw a TON of picks last year.

Last year Palmer threw 26 TDs but had 20 picks compared to Brady's 36 and 4. I have a feeling Brady will post similar numbers and Ocho Cinco will become one of his new favorite targets if not the favorite. Combine Brady's track record and Ocho Cinco's past performances and chances are good that he tears it up as a Pat.

As Donny said a Pro Bowl appearance is very likely IMO.

That was Randy Moss before he came to the Patriots.

Cinco isn't gonna run Go routes nonstop.

Tip Jar bet of 20 bucks that he doesn't make the Pro Bowl.

I was going to the other extreme with my statement to counter your haterade.

I'll go in on that bet, but you have to give me odds.

Unless you want to do a straight up total yards bet instead.

Just a cheap signing by the Pats. He's a solid possession receiver who can run the intermediate routes while Welker takes the underneath stuff.

I don't think Belichick cares too much about getting a deep threat. Not sure why.
