I'm ALL over this. My wife and I love this show. Sadly, it's my new "teen" substitute for Buffy:TVS (which was far, far, far superior).
I am more over this than VS... Seriously, this is televised crack. Sadly, I don't see how this show could get better than "the Vegas" That was hands down the best episode of the year!!!! But I can't wait to see them try to top it tonight! On a sad note, I have been informed that Season 1's DVD set won't be released until October. Can't melt away those long summer nights with Seth, Summer and a brooding Ryan.
Just wanted to point out that you mentioned one chick and TWO dudes. Don't make me question your manhood. What you really should have said:
Yeah, but those are my favorite three characters... well actually, substitute Ryan with Sandy and those are my three favorite characters. But watching Ryan brood just makes me burst into laughter...
I maybe mistaken but isn't the finally two weeks from last weeks episode? Please fill me in cause I hate to admit it but I am a huge fan as well!
The OC is by far my favorite show on TV right now, too. It's great ... mostly because I really enjoy the adult story lines. It's not like the 90210 where there were hardly any story lines for the parents. The entire show has a flow. I used to be a Smallville nut, but that show has really cooled off. Clark Kent can't look any dorkier, and Lana can't act any more vapidly. Just get them together already. Lex and Lionel are the only fun characters on there anymore. Oh man, and I seriously think John Kent has a thing for Clark ... Back to the OC, the spoilers from various sites are making it seem like a very suspense filled ending (DUH) and quite a few surprises apparently. Can't wait!
Yeah from what I heard its going to be a real cliffhanger type ending(I guess what else would it be) with everything left in chaos. I hate when there is no closure whatsoever at the end of a season.
I'll never understand the point behind "thread crapping." Do you, in some stupid way, feel superior for disliking something that other people like?
I have heard that even though this is the finale....they will have new episodes in the summer...not sure if that's right or not, but I hope so.
SERIOUSLY???? like 90210 style when the gang hung out at the beach and Brandon worked at the beach club? AWESOME!
According to TV Tome( http://www.tvtome.com/OC/ ) the second season will begin airing in October of '04 I guess it doesnt really mean much, but they are usually pretty accurate about stuff like that so we may have to wait until the Astros are in the World Series for the OC to start back up again
I work evenings so I can never watch it. That sucks. I love this show. I think I've seen only two episodes of season two. it makes me sad.
The ending, I thought, was pretty good. Better not have to wait till October to see what happens next. Although, that might be the case since Fox broadcasts the MLB playoffs. I didn't understand why Ryan said that it's his family now ... how?!?! They don't even know if he's the dad. Stupid create-drama moment. And Seth is just gonna sail away? I'd love to see how they bring him back, lolol. His lil raft gets knocked on shore somewhere ala The Net, and he's found in a Mexican hospital, where Sandy and Caleb's far reaching contacts discover him. Pretty decent.
I thought this was r****ded. So, Ryan's gonna shortchange his future for a child that may not even be his? Right. I was disappointed in the ending. All the spoiler sites made it seem like some twist ending was coming. I heard everything from "Caleb is murdered" to "Casa de Cohen burns down." None of it came true. Just a weak "going away" cliffhanger. Boring! ... And could the "Ryan holds everyone together" moral be ANY MORE obvious?
So the cliffhanger is that we wait all summer to find out the baby is really Eddie's and Ryan gets to return home... and once again try to rekindle things with poor Marissa, who apparently is going Mexico-style with her drinking habits again. And Seth taking off... I didn't realize how much Ryan's defection would hurt him, but it makes sense. B.R. (before Ryan), Seth was a nobody and a loser who loved a girl from afar. A.R., he got friends, got the girl he always wanted, and became somewhat of a stud. Now he probably feels things will return to status quo without Ryan. I wouldn't be surprised if he sabotages his relationship with Summer early next season, b/c he doesn't think he belongs anymore. And now I'm pissed there is no Summer season! I was looking forward to it... Freakin' October? Are you kidding me?
