-Never bash Mo again. He always tries hard, and has simply gotten off to a bad start. My god is this guy athletic. He could definitely be our PF of the future. He just needs to stay out of foul trouble.

-Hakeem is the most graceful player in the league, and can definitely STILL PLAY. Simply amazing...

-Francis and Mobley are just incredible, and CLUTCH. So very quick. Let me say that ballhandling looks so much better up close.

-Francis is a good person. After the game, he played one on one with a little kid. Its nice to see these ultra rich players taking time to connect with the fans.

-Mooch makes some hilarious circus shots.

-Did I mention that Hakeem is the best center in NBA history???

-My god the fans are loud.

-The officials have the toughest jobs on earth. They are the ones who deserve all that money.

-Arenas are smaller than I expected. but that makes it much easier to enjoy the game.

-The players are taller and more athletic than they look on TV.

-Rudy works his bloody ass off all game long.

-Hopefully Kenny can foul out every game...

    -Hakeem is the best.

-What a perfect game to start off my NBA watching career...

    -What a game...!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Great post ZRB. I LOVE THIS GAME! There's nothing like seeing a good game in person.

ZRB is the first to jump OFF the "Bash Mo" bandwagon.

    your best post yet

First NBA game? Where ya been hiding ;) Mo had a good game, agreed. But as Calvin Murphy said last night after the game...'read my lips...you can't go backwards!' Which means that this is the kinda game Mo needs to start having on a nightly bases. No Excuses!

BTW do you live in Seatle or was this a special trip? I don't live in Houston any more, but when I did me and my buddies used to go to the summit and by the 9 dollar cheap seats a couple of times a week. That was back in the mid 80's though when the Dream could still jump to the rafters of the summit, Kenny Smith was with Sacramento, some guy name Derrick Chevouse was suppose to be the next great Rockets small forward and Lewis Loyed and Mitchell Wiggens were doing something other than playing basketball. Ahhhh the good ole day's. Now I live in Dallas where I worked for the Mavs for a couple of years (and was forced to watch some of the worst basketball on the planet). At least now they are starting to look like a real basketball team that is fun to watch thinks to Mark Cuban. People in Houston need to look no further than Dallas to see how good they have had it. The Mavs were arguably the worst sports franchise anywhere for more than a decade. But the Rox has always been my favorite team. Even back when I use to watch Calvin Murphy, Moses Malone and Rudy T. when I was a kid.

Anyway did not mean to make such a long post. I am gladd you had a great time. I hope it gets in your blood like it did mine and you will have many more great nights like last night. BTW, NBA is the best pro sport to see live by far!
    Later, Crash.

I have watched a lot of basketball, but have never followed it closely enough to bother seeing a game live. I do live in Seattle, so the Rockets only come here twice a year, however, I do intend to go down to Portland and watch the Rockets play there too.
Seeing a live game far exceeded my expectations. If they had lost though...

One thing I forgot to mention:

It was great to see the Patrick-Hakeem matchup. I'm just so glad I got to see both of these great players in person.

Patrick Ewing is the only player in the league I feel bad for, despite his incredible wealth. I really hope he is somehow able to get a ring, because he is a true champion.

I don't think this question makes sense [IMG] (maybe that's why it is rarely asked...)

Sorry ZRB, but I just don't get it....

Its a combination of some of the most hilarious quotes from the gov of Texas.

"Rarely is the question asked: Is our children learning."

"I know how hard it is to put food on your family."

"They're gonna be put to death." (from the second debate)

Obviously its just a stupid joke.

$2600 each. I'm upper prom in the best buy section, great for seeing the whole court. Not good enough for seeing the sweat and hearing the jabs. But, you can always move down at half-time.
