Okay. I want to keep this short and simple. Something happened a couple of nights ago that epitomizes Barack Obama's words and vision for the future of this country.

For those who don't know me, I'm still in school. Saturday night, I did what college kids do. I'll skip through the details and get to the point. So I was dancing with this girl. I was out of it. She might have been too. But anyways, while dancing, I whispered in her ear (yes, this is really random, I don't know where it came from), "Barack Obama is winning it all." That's it. That's all I said. I tend to be really random on Friday and Saturday nights.

She turned around immediately and confessed her love for Barack. And her hatred for McCain and Palin. And then I whipped out my phone and showed her the picture I took with Obama at the Astrodome during Hurricane Katrina.

She went nuts. The rest, as they say, was history. Good night.

The school I attend was rated by Princeton Review as the 8th most segregated campus in the United States. I am a person of color. The girl I was with was Caucasian. I think it would be accurate to say Obama brought us together.

Point is - I don't know someone who has made such a huge impact without really even doing much. He's being worshiped like he's some sort of god. Neither of the Bush's got this love when they were running, Clinton didn't get this love until well-into his term, Reagan didn't get this love until after he left office. Obama's special. Say what you want (I don't agree with some of his stances on issues), but he's exactly what we need. He's exactly what America and the World needs.

Oh, and next time you're at the bar, go up to the cute lady in the corner and say Barack Obama is the man. See how it turns out.

The naivete of young voters like the OP is really scary.

What does that say about Obama, as a candidate, that he is forced to seduce these impressionable, inexperienced minds into voting for him? It tells me that the voters who know better won't touch him with a 10 foot pole. This isn't American Idol, people. These are legitimate issues we are talking about -- world changing issues -- and you're going to vote for a candidate because 'he makes you feel good'? Again, it's scary.

Did you Anne Hatheway? If so, Obama truly is the messiah.

    I'm an Obama supporter, but...

A lot of people (especially young ones) are going to "love him" because he's an engaging person, he's different than any candidate we've ever had, and he doesn't share views with George W. Bush.

Besides, you were already dancing with the girl before you mentioned Obama. I think it's a bit of a stretch to say he brought you together anymore than if you had said "Subway sandwiches are the best" followed by her professing her love for a ham and swiss on wheat bread and you pulling out a picture you took with Jared.

what's missing in the U.S is that revolutionary spirit and obama is bringing it back. =) if it means a new "baby boom", then so be it.

Walking up to a very astute progressive informed female and mentioning Obama is a good conversation starter.I am 2-0, so far when it comes to using this tactic, so the tread starter might have a point.

considering you won't acknowledge your last eight years of support for george bush, and so won't your candidate, what does this say about your judgement. scary times

Funny ****. A chicken in every pot, more sex for the liberals and a stimulus check in the mail every month. That should be Obama's new slogan.

P.S. I was at a Bingo event on Saturday and I whispered to the lady next to me that I'm for McCain and she looked me in the eyes, pulled out her false teeth and it was on.

I professed my love for Ron Paul in front of a girl at the Renaissance Fair, and let me tell you, you haven't lived life until you've been with a sword-swallower
