My wife was often told by blacks to consider herself black because that's how people will see her. She doesn't call herself black and I don't think most people see her that way either. Maybe it'd be different if she were a public figure. I think most of the people you listed have called themselves mixed, but are oftem called black by the public. Especially Obama.

That video is incredibly bewildering. I'm still debating with myself whether it's a joke which I assume it is since there's laughing people. However, I can imagine oldies being strange like that. Either way it's very catchy and I've been replaying it the past 10 minutes.
