Given Obama's previous lack of experience, he said he was going to surround himself with very capable advisors. What a crock of schit.

Obama has been a complete failure.

And yet, we've got several thousand fewer American civilians dead at the hands of terrorists than we did at this point in your boy GWB's presidency.

da Whopper, bigtexx, and basso, the first three (well, save one other poster) to appear in this thread. Must be three dudes down there in Clear Lake conducting a circle jerk.

How is it a bad analogy?

basso is known for supporting GWB and the policies he put in place to "keep us safe." For some reason, he was more willing to trust in that admin's ability to keep us safe 24/7, despite the fact that they actually dropped the ball and failed to prevent a major terrorist attack.

It's not an analogy, it's a comparison, and if you want disgusting, start with the Republican filibuster of health benefits for 9/11 first responders.

    A complete failure?

    HCR
    Net Neutrality
    Arms reduction treaty
Elimination of don't ask don't tell

If that's failure, I don't think I'd like your definition of success.

Stop using logic with these guys man! You have to think like them to communicate with them. Use anti-wingnut logic.

    For example:

Wingnut: Obama is a complete failure and endangers us with poor national security policy.

Logical Response: He accomplished x y and z.

Anti-Wingnut Response: Stop comparing Obama to Bush - that's not funny.

    Do you get it now?

Of course you wouldn't like his definition of success, because it looks something like this:

    - allow the worst terrorist attack in US history
    - sign the Patriot Act into law
    - sign into law a government handout to prescription drug companies
    - start two wars with no idea of what constitutes success and no strategy for exit
    - turn a federal surplus into record deficits
    - oversee a decade with zero job growth and a declining standard of living for middle class Americans
