well, mccain was desperate and look is what happening now. maybe obama needs to stay desperate to win this election. the republicans have been playing cheap stuff (and completely ignoring the issue) to get ahead. they have shown all is fair in politics. so let's go.
I thought Obama was ABOVE all this and was focused on staying with the issues! Sounds like he's just More of the Same dirty politics to me!
I don't know the context of that and who/what he was referring to, but if it was in reference to Palin, that was totally uncalled for. It it was in reference to policies and the GOP trying to pretend they are new and different, then I think it was more of a funny reference to Palin's funny from the convention.
LOL - all he is doing is talking about the lies from McCain and Palin, and that no matter what they are saying, the truth is different. DD
Looks like you had no idea the context: http://marcambinder.theatlantic.com/archives/2008/09/obama_did_not_call_sarah_palin.php He's used the phrase before to refer to policies, as he did today - long before Palin was in the race. As has McCain - in reference to Hillary's health care proposal. Trolling right-wing propaganda sites for your news again?
It's a DIG at Palin's lipstick remark and everyone knows it. Whatever the case may be, he's getting personal. I just think it's funny.
This is low TJ...how about some context, shall we? http://afp.google.com/article/ALeqM5io91dmnGX80E8kdj81IWeSqy8izw The only person who referred to a woman as an animal with lipstick is Palin herself.
He is and he's still going to win. What's funny is your little video doesn't seem to mention what he's talking about. Is he talking about Palin? McCain? Republican ideology? republican't issues? What?
I don't get it. That's an analogy -- not name calling. My dad always says "even a blind hog finds an acorn once in a while," (e.g. when Chuck Hayes makes a free throw), but he is not calling Chuck Hayes a blind hog, and a basketball is not an acorn. Do I really have to explain this? He is not calling McCain/Palin/GOP a pig, is he? So no, he is not calling any of them a pig, and he is not saying that any of them are wearing lipstick. He is saying the GOP is selling the same old policies with some new wrapping paper. Got it? Based on the policies discussed at the RNC, that is a good assessment.
No..but looks like you are trolling Left-wing sites. From your very own left-wing blog: Obama poked fun of McCain and Palin's new "change" mantra. "You can put lipstick on a pig," he said as the crowd cheered. "It's still a pig." "You can wrap an old fish in a piece of paper called change. It's still gonna stink." "We've had enough of the same old thing." So using a lipstick and a pig analogy(to Palin) and Old Fish in a piece of paper (McCain) isn't an indirect personal dig? C'mon!
You need to give me a cool, gladiator type nickname that I can slob my own knob with on a regular basis.
mccain and palin are blatantly lying like a fool to the public to win, so why not? however, he's still talking about the issues. he talked about education reform and national security today (if you pay attention) and have been talking about the economy since forever. SO HE IS TALKING ABOUT THE ISSUES. but it's also time for him to go on the attack along with talking about those issues.
how is that personal? he's attacking HER QUOTE. if this is offensive, then everything is offensive. my god, man up.
Is Obama trying to give the election away with that comment? I mean, calling a woman a pig is pretty disgraceful. That can't help at all.
