Don't miss it! 8 PM EDT http://news.yahoo.com/s/mcclatchy/20081028/pl_mcclatchy/3085327 HARRISONBURG, Va. — Barack Obama will focus on the economy and how his tax plans would help the middle class in a half-hour political infomercial Wednesday night. The program, scheduled to run on television networks on the 79th anniversary of the stock-market crash of 1929, "will share the specifics of Obama's plans to turn the economy around and get the country back on track," campaign spokesman Bill Burton said Tuesday. "We want to make sure every voter heading into the voting booth knows exactly what Barack Obama would do to bring about fundamental change as president," he said. Campaign aides declined Tuesday to answer questions about what images viewers will see when they tune in, whether the format will be live or taped and whether it will feature Obama alone or include additional voices such as business leaders or economic experts. The program will air at 8 p.m. EDT on NBC , CBS , Fox, Univision, BET , MSNBC and TV One, and at various times in other time zones. Obama is scheduled to be speaking during that time at a rally in Florida .
This type of attempt to 'buy the election' and game the system by Obama is the direct result of him lying to America by saying he'd work with McCain to abide by the rules of limiting spending to federal funding down the stretch. Obama lied, reversed his position and then fleeced his gullible supporters (and foreign donors from the Middle East) for untold millions. As a result, we get to watch Obama act like a pompous fool on all of the channels tomorrow night. Will it work, or will it further cement his standing as an arrogant elitist who has Marxist philosophies? We shall see, friends. There's a reason why Snobama hasn't held a presser in over a month. There's a reason why everything is scripted for him. He rarely speaks in public when it doesn't involve reading from a teleprompter. He is a media-created candidate with no accomplishments and no executive experience. Our economy is on shaky ground right now -- we need a strong hand, not a guy who's experiencing everything for the first time AND has socialist principles. This isn't Rhodesia -- our country deserves better than a weak, insecure leader.
Obama has done countless press conferences, interviews, and debates over the course of this campaign. His positions and thoughts are very well known at this time. How many press conferences has Palin done? O ya, ZERO
With the outcome of the potentially decisive Game 5 of the World Series now pushed back to tomorrow night, Obama might have an even bigger audience than expected (at least on FOX). Best of all, a LOT of potential voters in the crucial battleground states of PA (Phillies) and FL (Rays) should be watching, too, as the infomercial occurs right before the game. Man, things are falling nicely into place for Obama.
You may be on to something friend, considering how bad Bush has been as president, and how he fits your description. You know, if you had posted this eight years ago, in reference to Shrub, then you could really make folks eat crow today. ASSIMILATE
Palin? o yea.....shes not running for President. but since VPs are fair game.....where is the human gaffe machine? o yea.......
Why does he need to buy any air time? Isn't NBC, CBS, ABC, CNN and MSNBC on The Messiah Train enough?
Whaaaaaa! Do you ever get tired of whining Faos? The whining done by you and the rest of the RRs this campaign is truly embarrassing. But whatever makes you feel better for supporting one of the most disgusting campaigns in history. You're the Utah Jazz of politics.
This issue has magically disappeared, after allegations of Obama paying off the lie detector expert that dismissed the positive test results that Larry Sinclair took. I hope Obama mentions this in his speech tomorrow night and goes ahead and puts this issue behind him. Do you ever get tired of whining about my whining? Obviously not. What's more embarrassing is the virtual Obama circle j in here. And that Jazz comment was completely uncalled for.
buy the election? ha it isn't obama's fault he has people who are passionate with his beliefs and willing to donate for him. blame your candidate for the lackluster response and thus has no money to do this kind of thing.
Not that you deserve a response, because, in the immortal words of Joe "Gaffe" Biden, my IQ is much higher than yours.... but the reason McCain has less money is because he kept his word and limited his spending to the federal funds. Baraq Ubama, who also pledged to do the same, broke that pledge and is now bombing the airwaves with propaganda thanks to his broken promise (also known as a lie).
"I'm not sure it's a big deal for most voters. There's not a lot of support for the public financing system." Schneider said. "About a year ago, the polls asked people if they supported the idea that candidates and campaigns should be financed by taxpayer money ... and most persons said no. "They like the idea of financing campaigns through small contributions from a lot of individual contributors, which is what Obama has done," he said.

There are many more out there. If McCain had as many supporters as Obama, maybe he could bring in half the money Obama has. Take the bet.
So now you have reduced yourself to defending lying. Seriously? no cred... The other big lie in your post was where Obama's money is coming from... I noticed that you left out all of his fraudulent donations from unnamed contributors AND foreign sources (obviously illegal)... You've just got no cred.
