Is anybody else embarassed to see poor old Obama, the mere POTUS have to humiliate himself in front of the whole world in his speech to please Israel and a dwindling, but still strong, group of American Jews and Zionist Christians who are uncritical supporters of Israel? Most folks around the world and especially in the Middle East realize that Obama does not believe the words he felt compelled to say so he can improve his chances of winning the election. Despite feeling pity for Obama, these folks will still see him as a hypocrite and weak. That is why Arab/Muslim support for the US is even lower than during the Bush days. I predict that one of these days much of the uncritical support for Israeli occupation and Apartheid like behavior will evaporate quickly. Many including even many GOP'ers only mouth support due to the desire to avoid tantrums by Zionists or to court money. It will be sort of like the fall of the Soviet Union. Most Russians voiced support for communism to play it safe and suddenly it was tough to find anyone who still voiced support for it.
We will allow them to sell our military secrets to the PRC for decades. I'll subscribe to your newsletter though.
I loved the quote, "there is no short-cut to peace" ..... f yeah there is, you just don't want to take it. Its sad to see how blatantly one sided the support is in this conflict.
You do understand every single one of your boys would probably have the same or even a firmer stance than the non-white son of a Muslim on this issue? You sound like a petty, frustrated old man.
Please explain the political logic of supporting independence for a half-Hamas run territory on the tenth anniversary of 9/11, six months before an election year. It would completely derail the electoral discourse.
I'm sure if he's deemed to have shown the least bit of compassion for the Palestinian cause, we'll hear no end from the Tea Partiers about Obama sympathizing with Muslims and the Arab world.

You can't do anything to bring about a peace agreement if you don't get re-elected. Sometimes in hard ball you get on base by taking the 'hit by pitch'.

Assuming their incompetence or a massive disaster haven't pissed everyone off and sold their Congressional majority/caucus down the river. Or that a fully mobilized and funded opposition hasn't spent four years cataloging your every mistake and that you know how to act with prosecutors.
If you did not watch this, please do and do it with an open mind. I just got back from living in Israel for 9 months and after talking with many Israelis and Arabs the real problem is the teaching of hate to children in the Gaza Strip and as long as Hamas controls the Gaza Strip peace is not a viable option. You can sign cease fires and treaties but you can not take out the brainwashed seed of a nation of people that our taught to hate and kill. Furthermore, President Abbas does not in anyway control any part of the Gaza Strip. The Gaza Strip is controlled by Hamas, which is labeled by the whole world as a terrorist organization. In actuality the Palestinians that our Israeli citizens live a better life than those located in the West Bank or Gaza.
