Obama said the same issue exists in the Latino and white community - and he said the same thing at a larger speech geared to everyone,

There is misogyny in this election - and anyone that fails to realize that exists in 2024 is purposely blind.

Well, I think he's right. But, I also think it was probably bad strategy to say it directly. He might have figured that he has so much rep that black men would accept it from him when they wouldn't accept it from anyone else. And I'm not a black man so I can't say. But I have to think that an accusation of misogyny is going to be resented no matter who it comes from. I think he could have been deployed more strategically in a way that models non-misogynistic political action instead of patronizing people. Maybe that's too subtle to reach some voters who will only lend you 5 seconds of their time, but you wouldn't get the backlash.
