68-61 at the half. Kevin Love is beasting again. 7 of 9 on the field, 3 of 3 from downtown going for 21 points and 8 rebounds. Michael Beasley with 14 points on 7-10, the guy can flat out score. Milicic is 4 for 4 for 10 points in 7 minutes, limited playing time due to foul trouble. I don't think Min is as bad as we thought they are anymore. 3 guys are having breakout years. Amare is continuing to dominate with 16 points but only 3 rebounds. This is a no defense, all scoring match up. Love has something against Amare, he dominates him every time.
Darko's hurt for the rest of the game and with Tolliver already out, look for Stoudemire to beast (as if he's not already)
I love watching this frontcourt of Beasley and Love go to work. Darko has his moments but what the Wolves get out of these two is outstanding. What the Wolves need next season to win 30+ games is a developed Wesley Johnson (right now he's a jack of all trades, master of none), Ricky Rubio, a second shot creator (Beasley the only good one), and maybe a backup center. Even though the Wolves have a terrible record I enjoy watching them play every game and this is the first time in YEARS that I've been proud to be a supporter of Minny. Anyways back to the game, I hope Minny doesn't get too comfortable with the lead. They have blown a couple double-digit leads in the fourth already.
Yeah, hopefully it's nothing serious. I'm looking forward to Webster coming back this weekend, if not Wednesday. I like Brewer, but I think he's had ample opportunity to prove himself at SG with minimal results. Flynn coming back should help too, but I'm skeptical re: his overall abilities.
Yeah Webster was a 18+ scorer on a nightly basis for the Wolves during the preseason. He'll be a definite help. I used to be a fan of Brewer but he's proven to be far too inconsistent (and for some reason jacks up long range shots sometimes), he's a decent 15 minute player off the bench though. I agree about Flynn but I think he'll be an improvement over Ridnour at the very least.
Credit to D'Antoni, Amare, and the rest of the Knicks. It looks like they've turned that ship around.
Wolves don't have an answer for Amar'e. I don't understand why Beasley just disappears in the fourth quarter, he wasn't a factor in the third either after having a great first half.
