Another week for Cowboys football. In fact, this is a big day for me, as with most Houston sports fans I'm sure, although I'm somewhat different. My favorite NFL team, NBA team, and MLB team are all playing today and I want them all to win. Oh and the Texans could win too I guess. So now I must admit that I payed virtually no attention to the Cowboys this past bye week. I've spent most of my sports time watching the Astros or reading about the Rockets, so I had to cut time into Cowboys coverage. So basically I have little to no pre-game report, although I didn't really do much of one before. Yeah...I think I'll let this sentence be my pre-game report...yeah....uh-huh...yep. With the important info I just gave, I'm sure Bill Parcells will use it to his advantage and the Cowboys will come away with a victory.
I think these two teams are just about as even as it gets. I will give the advantage to Dallas because they are playing at home and they have Bill Parcells.
Why is it that you give it to you HB when you only need like half an inch? I hate having to back up 1 yard or two and wasting a second when I only need a short distance. I realize Vinny ain't 20, but I think it would have been pretty easy for him to dive forward for a 1st down. That sucks...but at least it is our ball again.
That does pretty much sum it up. Stupid penalties and stupid decisions by the players. However, I'm also a little angry at the play calls. I probably shouldn't be questioning Parcells given the track record, but there were some pretty questionable plays IMO. I already commented on the short 4th down play, but I don't know why we were going for it on 4th and 1 in the beginning of the 4th when were were only down 6. We screwed up on the play and gave NY great field position. There were a few others as well, but those two plays stand out in my mind. Hopefully the Astros and Rockets can help make this day a little better, although it look like the Astros gave up that 3 run HR at about the same time the Cowboys started blowing up. Please don't let that be a sign.
Well, your 0 - 2 with the Texans on the fence. Terrible sports watching day. I can't believe the hell a sports fan can go through.
As Bill Parcells said after the game, the Cowboys played dumb and stupid. It doesn't exactly leave any room for discussion watching a bunch of dumbasses make mistake after mistake. So, I imagine most Cowboys fans are in a dumbfounded state of shock and duh.
LOL. I was in a furniture store and they were piping audio of the game over the ceiling speakers. All I heard was the aftergame show where they said "the score was not indicative of the game". Does that mean it was worse than the score indicates or better than the score indicates?
