These club promoters crack me up. They can't even run a decent promo in a place the size of Gatsby, and they thought they could handle this?

I already mentioned that this place was horrible. What a waste of money. Never again.

My favorite line in that article is the person that said they walked in and it looked like a "high school gymnasium". Why would you pay $200 to stand in line for 2 hours so that you could get into a high school dance?

Thats why I didnt go to this thing. Magnolia last year was a waste of money ($35). Organizers were rude and we didnt even get drinks. Had much more fun at a houseparty afterwards.

Stick to the smaller parties thrown by friends. There were at least 5 thrown this year. A cousin and I went to 2 of them and we had lots of fun.

thats the catch, isnt it? you dont actually know what its like inside until after you pay the money and walk inside the tent.

The fact that it was inside a TENT is hilarious. Nothing says high class on NYE...like a TENT!

The place I played at was a very nice steakhouse that was charging people $150 for a reserved table, steak dinner, and free booze all night. Pretty good deal and a DAMN good steak to boot. I can't believe people actually paid $200 to go hang out in a tent.

If one of the contestants on The Apprentice had put this event on, they would have been FIRED!

False advertisement. I had VIP tickets and it wasn't all that. Hell, the general admission section was where everything was happening. The only thing happening in VIP were muddy floors, tired and agitated bartenders, and crappy sushi.

I got my $150 worth in liquor though, so I can't complain. A couple ppl from my party weren't let in, so that took some of the fun out of the night.

    -Fireworks show was weak
    -Dancers were lame
    -Where was the Thai massage?
-Waited 1.5hrs to get in (general admission got in before ME, and I had VIP tix!!)
-Waited average 15min to get drinks

However, there were some of the most beautiful women there that night all decked in full ho attire. Male/female ratio wasn't as lopsided as most club nights as well.

Next time they come -- no thanks!

Me and my friends couldn't get it, so they told us to get in line to get our tickets stamp for REFUND the next day.

Well, we went back there the next day and there was a line and they told us they would be there till 9pm. Ok, so we left to go watch the UT game and came back at 6pm. EVERYBODY IS GONE!

Still trying to get my REFUND!!!!

Sounds like they tried to pull a fast one and set up a place with a fire limit of 2,500 and way oversold it.

They probably figured that they could just keep letting people in the door.

Its janky of the promotors to blame the fire marshalls for shutting down the line in that article. They were just doing their job. They should not have oversold the party.
