I'm predicting an upset against Miami. Interior presence or not, the Nets are a dangerous team at full strength! (I know they're near the bottom of the league in terms of PPG and FG% on the season... but only now are they hitting their stride.)

naaah. the main thing the Nets have going for them right now is Carter-Kidd rhythm. Adding Jefferson will make them regress.

Why risk Jefferson anyways. No way they are going past a 7 game series with the Heat.

I was rooting for the Cavs to lose tho:D nice to see Carter back in the playoffs

You have no idea how well Jefferson will blend in. Wait and see. It's very unlikely they regress because Jefferson has a good head on his shoulders. He won't expect to take over right away.

This is exciting. If the Nets could catch lightening in a bottle and upset the Heat, they would probably win in the 2nd round also. The downside for me is if the Heat lose, the Pistons have a paved road to the Finals. I don't want them going again.

I just don't see the Nets, who have only 2 good perimeter players, beating the heat. The heat have shown that they can be a great defensive team, and the nets have no way of stopping Shaq. Miami shooters will get wide open looks all game long or Shaq will score 45 ppg. Nets have no interior presence, the heat do.

That is true but I really think that series or would be fun with Vince Carter goings nuts lately and DWade stepping up big time.

The Nets could win 2 games if they carry this momentum into the playoffs.

In other news, Jermaine O'Neal is back as well. This year's playoffs is sure going to be fun.

    WOW!

Jefferson is back in action - I think it'll be an interesting first round matchup with the Heat (assuming the Nets squeak a win against either Washington or Boston).

Be a good series - Jason Collins is an underated defender, and Carter has really been going nuts recently!

Tell you what'd be good - if Philly managed to lose to Atlanta or Milwaukee, and hand the Nets the 7th seed!

if jefferson came back and magically incoropated himself seamlessly in the offense with zero rust i'll update their wins against miami to two games. as is i think they MIGHT win one. miami is very very good and NJ probably has the least resistance to shaq. i think it's still a rout no matter how good their playing right now. i do hope they knock the cavs out though.

I really think that this will be the team to watch next year in the East if Kidd can keep his knees together...

I like the Nets too. With Kidd an d Carter they have 2 of the best players in the world. Which, I gotta say, is more than Miami has. add in jefferson and the teams are equal. This is gonna be a good one. The Sixers and Cavs are no match, but the Nets are more than capable of going the distance.

i dont think miami is going to win this year. jefferson coming back is just another reason. i dont think Oneal has enough in the tank for an entire playoff run. its just too much.
