NYC deals with terrorism and catastrophic attacks the same way they deal with traffic density, decades before anyone else. Mock them all you want but they've taken 5 - 6 million people off the carbon footprint every god damn day for a 100 plus years while most large and most mid-sized American cities are too busy blocking multi-family housing or reproductive rights.
