maybe it's because wednesday, the 20th, is the last game of the season for the Rox vs. Seattle.

twhy77 you may have something there about celebrating the birthday hypothesis....

    Famous birthdays on 04-20:

    Carmen Electra (04/20/1972)

Don Mattingly, former NY Yankee (04/20/1961)

    Ohhhhhh...

    and twhy77's prediction ...

    Adolf Hitler (04/20/1889)

I was laughing like crazy when I saw that. What a coincidence. mwa-mwa-mwaaa :D

hmmm... probably doesn't have anything to do with smoking weed or anything like that because I know what fine upstanding boys you all are from our D & D conversations.

    Columbine?

    Waco?

    Shakespeare's Birthday?

Are we supposed to celebrate a couple kids shooting a bunch of people? What kind of sickos do you take us for??

Seriously, I'm a huge David Koresh fan. A couple years back I went to a party at Dick DeGuerin's house in Marfa. He played cowboy songs all night and every time he took a break I grilled him about Waco. Good times... I'll be spinning Koresh's hit CD "Voices of Fire" out back, on repeat. Half sermons, half rock tunes, all genius. For reals.

    Bump.

Only a week or so ago, a bunch of people were hot for this. Where'd they go?

Getting on the road to Providence in about half an hour and I'll check in again before heading to NYC on Wednesday morning, but if there aren't any bites by then I guess we'll blow this thing off. Let me know.

If it does happen, we should find a bar with the game and a patio. I'll bring the Koresh.

Yeah, I know, but I'm getting on the road and don't know when I'll be back online. Didn't want it to fall off the page (which it had) before folks saw it.

I think watching the game would be fun if someone can find a place. Again, I'm pretty married to downtown for various reasons and I pretty much hate the West Village, so if anyone knows a good place for the game and outdoor smoking, and preferably cheap beer too, chime in. Otherwise I'll find out the name and address of that bar I like (almost sure it's on Ave. A just off St. Marks, east side of the street) and post it here by Wednesday latest.

    Looking forward to it.

Never mind, I read Rice Village for some reason. I am an idiot.

    Have fun in NYC.
