Just so you know, I wasn't referring to the book, but to the verses themselves. The book has a WHOLE other slew of criticisms, most which are attributed to a piss poor translation of the title and the general spread of misinformation amongst the ignorant and uneducated.

But you are pretty correct; on some topics you just have to have faith. However you must acknowledge that the same argument applies to history and even some of the stuff that world governments say.

Btw, Quraan is the holy book. Shariaa is Islamic Law. Shariaa is not only derived from the Quraan. I wiki'ed it.

So even if this is not in the Quraan, it may be a part of Shariaa apparently.

that is true, but the Bible does not preach hate like the Koran does. I have read several parts of the Koran and there is way more "justified" violence in it.

Sorry for the double post, but i can't let this bs pass.

You sir, are fabricating this part of the Quran. Nowhere does it say to hate, it does repeatedly call for defending your religion against its enemies. What constitutes an enemy is what often gets misunderstood and taken advantage of. Defending your religion against its enemies is NO different than loving your country and FIGHTING its enemies for the greater good.
