With Kidd apparently spoken for, the player drawing the most attention from promising title contenders is Philly's Andre Miller. Nuggets, Cavaliers and Rockets are sincere suitors - Celtics feel they're first in line for Sam Cassell - but not serious enough to offer more than expiring contracts and a first-round pick in the 20s.

Andre Miller would be a great pickup, but I think it will cost too much. Just imagine a PG who could make his layups! He does take a lot of shots though, but can also dish it out if needed.

I would love to have Miller here in Houston. Hes not a great 3 point shooter, but hes still a great shooter just not from 3. He would make the game a lot easy for Tracy I know that for sure.

yeah he would be a great pickup, but what would they take from us? If they said they would take James and Head, i'd say take 'em and don't come back. but they won't want a guard that never plays, and guard that's injured.

Andre Miller's contract ends after next season, and it's ten million. Mike James would almost have to be in the deal.

if we want to get any of the top players available - Mike Miller, Andre Miller, or Artest, we have to offer TMac. And Tmac can land us two of the 3 by a 3 teams trade. Would you guys want to replace tmac with A Miller/Artest or A Miller/M Miller?

I don't believe that to be true at all, especially not for Andre and Mike Miller. Andre Miller would cost us Brooks for sure and probably some expiring's and a pick. Mike Miller would cost us Landry or Scola, some expiring's and a pick. Artest isn't worth T-Mac, but the Maloofs could try to stick it to Adelman and counter with him in a deal...

Why would Mac have to be included?

I don't know if Philly is willing to trade away Andre Miller's expiring for Mike James' albatross of a contract, but a trade of James, Snyder and Luther works. Maybe even replace Luther with a first round pick.

Don't burn a first round pick on an Andre Miller. I like him, but it's too easy to think of first rounders as simple toss ins. They're much more valuable than that.

While I have been stating for years that I think Andre Miller would be a perfect fit here, I dont want to ruin the chemistry we have going right now. Anything other than our garbage (SF3, MJ, Snyder) and a 2nd rounder, I wouldnt bite. And with the package I just listed, I doubt they would bite either.

Brooks, James, and Snyder work Miller works. Philly gets a young point guard plus Snyder's expiring contract. Maybe they could buy James out and save even more money. You might have to send cash and/or a pick to sweeten the deal, but it's not unreasonable. What more could Philly expect for Miller? He's over 30 and he's not really an all-star.

Vex > Smith...for whatever that may be worth.

Why is there ZERO Juan Carlos Navarro spec? He'd be a good fit, and with his boy gone he and Griz should be gone from each other.

No, I wouldn't do that. Tmac + any of those 3 > any two of them together.
