Anybody going to the game tonight? Despite the 6 inches of snow we are getting today, I'll be there! Who else?
I was gonna, but i live to far away to risk life and limb in this snow. not worth th 2-3 hours have fun you lucky subway riding b*stard peace
I got tickets for the game at around 6:30 on the night of the Nets game, and after a long and snowy journey through the Lincoln Tunnel, I arrived at Continental Airlines Arena with just about two minutes until tipoff. perfect timing. me and my rocketfriend sit down(with our Rocketgear), when this guy sits right down next to me and says "Oh, Rocket Fans." I asked him if he was a ROcket fan as well, and sure enough, he is a fellow Texan transplant here in the NY area, cheering for his Rockets. Strange enough..... As we sit and watch the game, he asks the big question.... "So where do you get your Rockets information on the internet?" Naturally I answer "ClutchCity", he answers "Dot Net." TUrns out he is none other than ROCKET RICH NYC!! our seats were right next to each other. Its a small world after all..........
What a surprise to meet a fellow Clutchcity.net BBS Buddy at the Nets - Rockets Game. Good meeting you Across110th Street! Well, you all saw what we saw...The Rockets looked TIRED! As far as I know, the Rockets got into Newark around 1am from Boston. With the first snow storm of the year and the flights back and forth all week, that probably contributed to Francis Migraine woes. Did I say it was COLD outside? Got to meet up with my contact after the game. They do this new thing at Continental Arena where they sit all of the Rocket's guests in section 114. After they shower and suit up, Rocket players, personnel, etc. come out to visit everyone. I asked Across110th Street to hang out after the game but I guess he wanted to get the hell out of SNOW HELL! I know the snow isn't that bad...but being the first snow storm of the year...it still was ugly. Did I say it was COLD outside? Anyways... Cuttino, Kevin Willis, and Moochie were the only players to come out. I didn't stay long enough to see if any others were gonna show. However, Cuttino and Moochie had the most SUPERFLY FUR COATS! GEEZ...They were PIMPIN! Cat had some Brown Fur coat and Mooch had a Blue Fur coat! WHOA! I saw Calvin Murphy and he actually looked NORMAL for a change. He just wore a simple black suit. I was shocked! Where was the Purple suit Calvin? Did I say it was COLD outside? My contact and I talked about a lot of different things. Nothing too spectacular but here are some interesting notes. Steve Francis' new shoes with Reebok will be coming out soon. Sorry I forgot the name but there is going to be a big market campaign. Reebok wanted to pair up Steve Francis with Nas on a commercial, but Francis wanted to be paired with Scarface. These new shoes are WAYYYY better than his Wink DMX shoes last year. They are also built a lot better so hopefully he want get Plantar Fascitis again - I still think it was because of the shoes. Because of Steve's new shoes...the team will be changing shoe colors after NBA All Star weekend. Right now, they wear Black shoes Home and away. After All-Star weekend, they will revert to White at Home, Black shoes away. Did I say it was COLD outside? Rudy's Doghouse : Kevin Willis Jason Collier Dan Langhi On Hakeem Olajuwon: I asked my contact "How was Dream in Toronto when you guys were up there?" Sadly, he told me Hakeem didn't acknowledge him. Without going into too much detail, my contact has been with the organization for several years and saw Dream on a regular basis while with Houston. For years, people have told me Hakeem is not as nice as people think he is. I was told, if you have money, then Dream will talk to you. If you don't, he looks down at you as a charity case. Did I say it was COLD outside? Walt recently recorded a new Rap CD and I hear its decent. I spoke about the Walt CD at the Knicks-Rockets game last year on this BBS, but my friend told me he just recorded some new songs. I'm looking to get a copy to hear for myself. I can't picture Walt flowing the rhymes! They sold 16,000 tickets for this game but not too many people showed up. Amazingly, for the East's best team, the Nets have been struggling to sell tickets. The last game before the Rockets came to NJ against the Wizards was the Nets FIRST sellout. Shame too because the Nets really look good. Across110th Street and his buddy were cheering for our team very proudly. I think they were the only people sporting the Rockets gear tonight! Did I say it was COLD outside? Well, thats my Rockets GAME RECAP for this year! Again, great meeting ya Across110th Street!
Reebok X-Beams, March 1st. Think of the best rhymer you have ever heard, then take that up a notch, then take that up another notch, there you will find Walter.
