This is a Knicks blog, so I'm not sure how reliable this is:

So if NY gets a top pick and buys out Steph, do we want him? He is a headcase but could be the 3rd scorer that we need.

Haha, Nope. He is cancer, he single handedly started the mutiny against Isaiah who by the way supported and mentored him

We have Francis already, why do we need Marbury??? Francis = Marbury at this stage. But I think Francis has a bigger chance of coming back healthy and strong that Marbury.

    Sorry, but NO WAY.

Why is it that whenever Starbury is traded to a team, they start doing badly? Until you can answer that question, I don't want to be the next team turning bad.

but seriously now, why in god's name do I see 4 people with some form of a "hell no" reply? are you crazy? are you happy with Rafer "brick2maLou" Alston running the show? atleast Starbury can hit his 3's & drive to the basket.. and despite being a dumb@$$ sometimes, he still doesn't stab people in night clubs..

I would love to have him on this team.. We already have a beast to throw the ball to on the post.. :D

Perhaps we say, "Hell NO!" because he is a known cancer who has done nothing but drag teams down. Marbury is poison and the only thing he cares about is the stat sheet.

You want a guy who refuses to play a system in NY, instead claiming he is going to "play like Starbury", to come in and play Adelman's system...

I bet there is a positive correlation between posters who support Ricky Davis as a Rocket and posters who think Marbury is a good idea.

I stopped reading after I read "system" and "new York" in the same sentence :D

seriously man, Isiah is just a dumb person.. extremely stupid.. a 5 year old could run a basketball team better than what that guy did..

Adelman dealt with arguably the worst nutcase in NBA history called "Ron Artest", and he almost beat the Spurs with him.. I'm sure he would be able to deal with Marbury, especially since RA gives players (esp. the PG) opportunity to call plays and read the defense..

plus, Marbury is almost desperate now and no one would take him.. we would get him for cheap, and I am sure he will be on his best behavior..

If he was bought out and we could get him on the cheap, I would gladly take him.

Larry Brown ran a system. And Isiah isn't a terrible coach, he's mediocre at best, he just is the worst businessman/gm EVER.

Despite the fact that he has a few screws loose, Ron Artest plays harder than 99% of the NBA, is a great defender and his size is a huge matchup problem...he's too strong for SF's and too quick for PF's.

Marbury is none of those things. He's a guy that plays no defense, has a "me-first" attitude, doesn't hustle unless it means he is going to get points out of the effort, is no better at 3's than Rafer, and pouts when he is asked to play within a system. Oh, and he quit on his team last year temporarily (when benched by Isiah), then had a surgery that was (allegedly) not necessary until the offseason...all while making over $20mm in salary.

His scoring ability (and his assist stats) make him look good, but no thanks. We need a PG upgrade, but not him... (IMO) :D
