Probably the guy who is shooting the best that particular game. If ever in doubt, I think i'd choose the more consistent, proven and experienced scorer: Martin
We all know that our number 1 option is Mr Energy... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8mAajbn6O_M&translated=1
Lol, my bad. You know in the clutch Ariza will FIND a way to get that ball to LAUNCH it from the parking lot.
Adelman's offense won't be dependent on a on Martin or Brooks being the #1 option at the end of game. Whoever is open in the motion offense will take the shot. If Battier is camping out by the 3pt line, it will be him. If Scola's man leaves him to double Martin or Brooks, it could be him. It's not ISO.
Exactly! We don't need someone to be the number one option now. Just run the offense and let the situation determine who is number one. BTW, with Martin and Brooks at the 1 and 2 the Rockets might have the best shooting back court in the league.
Martin, and this is not even close, AND I think AB will thrive with this arrangement. Carrying the load stresses him out; you can read it all over his face. I will be shocked if this doesn't work. This guard combo may not stop anybody, but they are going to light people up. The AB drive and dish to KM will be deadly.
We will make it seem like Martin in most games, but it will probably be whomever is left open between Brooks, Martin or Ariza and how much we need to win the game.
They will mutually benefit each other esp. within Adelman's system. Put it this way: AB's glad to have Kmart and the reverse is true. They'll be our dynamic duo until next year unless Trevor decide to join the party.
