The man seems to be completely respectful when he posts under our board, but if you ever visit the ESPN message boards you'll realize that he's just posting BS about all of us down here in the CC.NET BBS and Rocket fans in general. I mean, we are being called ignorant and dreamers. It's expected in some cases, as some posters say we'll have a [/i]dynasty[/i] in two years but this is ridiculous. For example: One fans says: Woah a realistic Rocket fan? They don't make many of those on this board. Nugz replies: Are you sure hes a rocket fan?could be a spurs fan or hornets fan or something. theres just something about that post that makes me wonder... oh yeah the logical part. Another: Yup. defintely fun stuff (ESPN posts). Did you read the cc.net stuff? One reply after a "logical" post by a Rockets fan: Again, im not making the connection between this logical and realistic post with facts and part when he says hes a rocket fan. help. First of all, there is a reason why each team has its own forum. Fans tend to be a bit more positive and sometimes even unrealistic about the future. I'm guessing you would see the same in Nuggets fan boards as well. The only fans that see no future live in LA and support the Clippers. Secondly, why would you treat us with complete respect only to go behind our backs in another forum? That is so damn lame. One more thing: If this is not the same guy, I am truly sorry. I deduced this due to the fact that the ESPN guy says he is a regular at the site, and seeing that the user names are the same... Other than that, it simply shows how cheap some people are and how other fans tremble when they enter the realms of Clutch City. ------------------ Nederland 2002 Qualifying Campaign (Damn those penalties!!!) <A HREF="http://www.geocities.com/Colosseum/Pressbox/6544" TARGET=_blank>Houston Rockets Space Center- Not just another ClutchCity.NET clone. Oops... Seems that the guy over at this board doesn't have the same username. But the ESPN guy said he was a regular so who is he? Anyway, it still an interesting topic to cover. My apologies to NugsPinnacle. Nice site. Too bad there are hard feelings. ------------------ Nederland 2002 Qualifying Campaign (Damn those penalties!!!) Thats the reason I don't visit any other board. CC.net is the home of the die hard Rocket fans. Any other board is a mere imitation. p.s. Feel free to use that Clutch ------------------ In order to be a success in life, you need 2 things: 1. Don't tell everything you know.
you have a link? ------------------ "It wasn't a fight. He punched me one time, that's all. That's not a fight. I don't fight at 30,000 feet. I had an education." L8 vs Stack
Sure thing... http://boards.espn.go.com/cgi/espn/request.dll?LIST&room=nba_hou&topics=1 It seems like everyone is on our case now. ------------------ Nederland 2002 Qualifying Campaign (Damn those penalties!!!) I used to post on the ESPN rockets board quite a lot - but there are so many idiots patrolling the ESPN boards that I left and came to CC In all seriousness, the fans here are MUCH more realistic than fans on other (espn) boards - sure we're optimistic, but at least there are the naysayers and the arguments are pretty civilised ------------------
Yeah DrNuegebauer that's the same reason why I don't post there quite as often (but I still post there). Ace, I thought that they were the same person myself (referring to NugzFan). IMO their writing styles are quite similar, if not identical. ------------------
Ace, Yes, the stupid Nugzfan does post here. He's under the same name. However, recently a good, respectful Nuggets fan has come here- Nuggets4. They are different people. Nugzfan has been a pain here as well in the past. ------------------ Looking for next year's Dan Langhi? Yep, Nuggets4 is very civil and has interesting takes on our beloved Rockets. ------------------ In order to be a success in life, you need 2 things: 1. Don't tell everything you know.
I knew an idiotic Nuggets fan posted here somewhere. ------------------ Nederland 2002 Qualifying Campaign (Damn those penalties!!!) Houston Rockets Space Center- Not just another ClutchCity.NET clone. We're that and more!
just to defend myself....those were taken out of context. ive posted here and the espn rockets board many times and usually show tons of respect. if you were there, me, a warriors fans, a grizzly fan were all just joking around about the gs-hou rumor. i didnt mean much by what i said and it was all in fun. the sarcasm was thick to say the least. please read the entire days posts on those topics on the espn board before you bash me. after that, bash me at your will!! its just a message board guys, dont take it too seriously. besides, i love you guys!! i really do btw; yeah nuggets4 is a different person. hes cool. just wanted to clear that up and clear his name up too (im good friends with him)
another thing, how come you coincidentally left out the part in the same thread when i said i liked this board and clutch and the page alot. not an exact quote but thats what i said. honest. oh well...i hope you guys can find it in your online-hearts to forgive me (besides, shaqsucks, the warrior fan, started it!!! )
There are Nuggets fans!? Who knew??? ------------------ "Somebody DO something out there." -Bill Walton
Taken out of context? What the heck are you talking about? Those quotes were prime examples of most of the content of your posts. Guys, feel free to go read the messages at the board. That's what the link is for. As far as this "we're being to harsh" bs, save it. All in fun? You took advantage of the fact that you had a few guys from other boards to support you. Otherwise. I'm sure you would have kept you mouth shut. That's what you're doing here, right? Showing nothing but respect, as you know that we would debate your a** right out of here and back to that ESPN message board. ------------------ Nederland 2002 Qualifying Campaign (Damn those penalties!!!) um no. if you think that i seriously meant that all rocket fans are illogical, i emplore you to read yesterdays post, when one stupid poster came on there, and i specifically said 'you give rocket fans a bad name' 1. i said that because i know you guys are pretty darn smart compared to other fans on average and 2. one of the main espn rocket posters completely agreed with me. more importantly i was right about what i was talking about (not the rocket fans part, the stuff about the trade rumor). so at least i had the right to say what i did even if i was serious. seriously man, im not one to go around just bashing ppl for no reason. ive posted there all the time and almost always with good intent (unless provoked otherwise). if you wanna call me an ass or just hate me, fine. but dont take things out of context to make me look like a horrible person.
Nuggets fans and Rockets fans lets stop arguing and all unite in saying Jazz "fans" suck and there is no contest to that! Who seconds the notion? ------------------ Cuttino Mobley Online www.Rockets2000.net [This message has been edited by FrancisFan (edited September 01, 2000).]
It's this that supports Ace's point of view. How do you know more than oeilpere does? Not to say this will happen or anything, as most likely it won't. But to say you know you were right is the kind of thing we're talking about. By the way, I've hardly ever seen you post anything positive at all about the Rockets. In fact, I've seen you go as far as to bash the Rockets on other ESPN team boards. What Ace posted primarily is a good representation of the majority of posts I see you make about the Rockets. ------------------ Looking for next year's Dan Langhi?
