Kenneth Faried will join JaVale McGee in Texas next week as both of the Denver Nuggets big men will work out with Hall of Fame center Hakeem Olajuwon.

According to Chris Tomasson, Faried may just spend a week at Olajuwon’s ranch at Katy, Texas while McGee will be there for longer.

Joining Denver’s big men are New York’s Amar’e Stoudemire and possibly Tyson Chandler, who is currently playing for the USA basketball team.

Stoudemire is reportedly offering $200,000 to work with Olajuwon for two weeks.

Olajuwon also reached out to Oklahoma City about spending time improving Serge Ibaka’s offensive game.

At $50K a session, Hakeem is raking in the cash.

b/c hakeem doesn't want to waste his time on 6'8'' power forwards?

To me it seems like the players who work out with Hakeem don't have a super saiyan level of improvement after working out with him...i think people on this board overestimate his abilities...don't get me wrong players wouldn't go to him if it didn't help but i don't expect drastic improvements from players...

1.We have some guy named McHale who knows how to play the post.
    2. He doesn't have to do ANYTHING for the Rockets because he already did EVERYTHING.

I think Dream's abilities are beyond any NBA athlete right now except for maybe just maybe Lebron James. It's not Dream's fault that his pupils suck.

you think Bulls fans say "why doesn't Jordan teach Deng how to play?"

    I doubt it.

True... I think that goes to show how hard it is to find big man that's agile, quick, strong like that and know how to use it. Man of man talk about once in a generation. We're still trying to find that next stud to take the promise land...

I think it's just not big men, remember he trained LeBron and Kobe.

Dream is teaching basketball on an elite level.

I could see the most improvement with Kobe. Problem is that a lot can be learned in two weeks but all that can be forgotten before the season begins. It's very hard to unlearn what you've learned for many years with a few sessions. The players have to take what they learn and practice it on a regular basis for their game to really change. Or train with him on a consistent basis like once a week.

last time i checked .. we had atleast TWO players who are NOT 6ft 8 power forwards .. contrary to popular belief, rockets do NOT have 16 players on the roster who are 6ft 8 power forwards

btw just to further proof the invalidity of your comment .. kenneth faried IS a 6ft 8 power forward

i don't think he meant doing the rockets a favor. just our players in general reaching out to him. that's not really doing the rockets a favor
