The Denver Nuggets made Linas Kleiza(notes) a $2.3 million qualifying offer, but sources close to the forward say there’s “more than a 50 percent chance” he’ll stay in Greece. Kleiza is due to make $6 million next season if he stays with Olympiakos. The qualifying offer allows the Nuggets to match any offer an NBA team makes to Kleiza. LINK how would you feel to have "your boy" back?
i made a thread that the rockets should sign kleiza and someone posted that nuggets4 said kleiza is a scrub so i dont think he wants kleiza back.
dude what the hell.. how can you be sarcastic asking a poster if they want a player on their fav team?
So, he is probably staying in Greece. WHat's the point of coming back to the NBA, if no one offers him more than $6 million.
I remember when The Rockets were trying to trade John Lucas for Kleiza a few yrs ago. I was hoping Denver was dumb enough to do that.
didn't someone try and blast me saying "Greek economics will make ex NBA FA from staying in Olympiacos and they will come running back to the U.S." How's them apples!
Kleiza was a decent role player off the bench for the Nuggets during their playoff run 2/3 years ago (can't remember when).
Just look at the smiley in the original post. Pretty obvious he was joking but probably still wants to know his thoughts.
I'm 99% convinced that the Nugs just did this to retain his rights. It's required for him. Same thing with Josh Childress. The other 1% though is keeping me up nights terrified in a cold sweat.
