Nuggets are coming off of a solid win tonight over Minnesota, but their starters played rediculous amounts of time. Should be interesting seeing how they start tomorrow as we're known for slow starts in the first place. The Nuggets are 6-2 at home this year, and to be brutally honest, 8-0 is what we should be. We blew a 15 point lead to Phoenix in the last five minutes of one loss, and two nights later, you could tell the loss was still on their minds and Dallas beat them. If the game was in Houston, I'd be picking you guys to win. However, it's in Denver, and we've been playing well. Call me a homer, but I see the Nuggets winning by 5. It should be a fun game though. Van Exel vs Francis. Mobley/Anderson vs Lenard. McDyess vs Taylor. ------------------ Nuggets4 The Pinnacle - Rising to the Top With the Denver Nuggets http://www.NugsPinnacle.com
shut up chutya and nuggets 4, are u making excuses already. the players played a rideculous amount of time? come on...at least have a better excuse. and dont talk to Rocket fans about slow starts. no one can start slower then us damnit! ------------------ SUCK POLICE!!!!!! Is this bizarro CC.net or something me thought this was the rockets fan site ------------------ "It's incredible to see how he [Mobley] can beat his guy one-on-one every time. That is a tremendous talent. The combination of Steve and Cuttino, I think, is wonderful in the backcourt." --the Dream
Nugz fans- Only here can you be 8-7, over .500 after never being above at all last year, yet hear talk about how the season is ending! On topic, I think it'll be a good game. I know you guys will be tired (good win tonight by the way), but you have home court, so it may balance out a little bit. Plus you know what that mountain air does to Hakeem. Should be a nice game between two teams doing pretty well so far. Van Exel has always saved some of his best games for Francis, and I'm sure McDyess will give Taylor a little trouble, as some of the lankier PF's with long arms such as Webber and KG have in the past. Plus offensively he has all the moves as you all know. By the way, what is up with Lafrentz? I've noticed that some games he plays like 18 minutes, and the next he might play 40. The last 3 or so I knew had been in the 15-20 range, but tonight I saw he went 38 minutes. Any reasoning behind the inconsistent minutes with him? As for predictions, I think the Nuggets give the Rockets a fight until the closing seconds, but the Rockets are ready to redeem themselves after the debacle against Sacramento Tuesday. Could definitely go either way though. Rockets 97 Nuggets 93 ------------------ President of the Jason Collier fan club! Looking for next year's Jason Collier or Dan Langhi? Cat - I meant no one can start slower then us in a particuar game. Look what we have done in the last 2 out of three games. Boston and Sactown killed us in the beginning. And it might not be that obvious, but alot of my negative comments against the Rockets are just made in fun, or because Im pissed off at them. That doesnt mean that Im not happy with the overall picture of being 8-7. We have beat up on the Lakers, Suns, Pacers, Heat, and Bucks. And thats nothing to be ashamed of. ------------------ SUCK POLICE!!!!!! The nuggets will be tough, but I expect a turn for the better. ------------------ Sometimes you gotta do the next best thing!
Houston should win but then again Kelvin should be healthy. Nonetheless it shall be a victory. Rocks 87 Nuggets 79 GO ROCKS!!!!! ------------------ Ceo of the Walt Williams fan club. Web site coming soon atheistalliance.org
Rockets 95 Nuggets 88 ------------------ I'ma need more than 6 and a half rebounds a game from the PF
Van Exel had a decent game last night so it's his style to have a totally ****ed up game the next night so I see Stevie FINALLY shooting the ball and getting about 24+ for the game. Wizard will be hot and Mo actually grabs some boards. Dream will mave an off night but will still get 9 boards and keep Lafrentz from contributing much. I actually see a 12 point win by the Rockets. Hmmmmm, tough one, Nugz are incredibly tough at the Pepsi Centre......But I see Houston winning in Overtime..... Rockets 94 Nuggets 89 I REALLY don't see the Nugz scoring more 90 or more against us, especially not after the whooping Rudy probably gave the guys..... ------------------
Houston got spanked in their last game; they're gonna be tough to beat--even in Denver. ------------------ stop posting my damn signature
Rockets - 135 Nuggets - 133 In triple overtime. Bullard hits the game-winning jumpshot. ------------------ My dream job is to be a Houston Rockets towel boy.
All I got to say is that Stevie Franchise is gonna get his career high tonight, I'm going out on a limb here, to say he is gonna get 38pts, 8 ribbies, and 8 assists. Call me crazy but watch my boy suckas, and tonight we turn things around. ------------------ [This message has been edited by apolanco (edited November 30, 2000).]
The Nuggets are on a back to back, but Dream has not played well in the higher elevation (and he is fasting). The Rockets bench played well against the Kings and we'll need it again in Denver. I feel 'Los will get alot of PT. Another possibility would be if Mo stays out of foul trouble, he'll take La Frentz with KT on McDyess. The Rocks need this. They'll get out quick, fade a little, and then pull it out by 8. Rockets over Nuggets by 96-88. ------------------ GATER [This message has been edited by GATER (edited November 30, 2000).]
Rockets 103, Nugz 99. McDyess will own Mo Taylor, but the rest of our squad should hold the matchup advantage at each position. It wouldn't be a bad idea to give Dream a number of touches on offense, and make 'Dyess play some defense. Hold them off late with Francis and Cat, and by all means don't let Van Exel get an opportunity to win with a last-second shot. He can be Maxwellian at times. ------------------ "Don't blame me. I think I voted for Gore." -Florida bumpersticker
My sources tell me that if the Rockets can hold English under 25, and keep Issel off the boards, we have a good shot. ------------------
Someone will win by 3 pts......I'm thinkin' the Rocks.....well...prayin' is Mo' like it......... ------------------ C-son
Um, what?!? Dice will own Mo Taylor, yes. However, I find it hard to believe Francis will hold the advantage over NVE. Francis is good guys, but NVE is really underrated and has carried this team this year. 18 points and 8.4 assists a game. This isn't the NVE from the Lakers years. SG you guys have the advantage. Lenard is playing well, but Abdul-Wahad is sucking, and you guys cna go two deep there. SF -- Posey vs Williams. Depends. Both are hot and cold players. C -- LaFrentz vs Olajuwon. Olajuwon's slowing down, but Raef has a tendency to suck. This one could be the deciding matchup. ------------------ Nuggets4 The Pinnacle - Rising to the Top With the Denver Nuggets http://www.NugsPinnacle.com
