why in the hell does JHo still want to play? the guy has about 100 mill plus in the bank, buy a beach house and enjoy retirement!
its the celebrity and the lifestyle of it all. he can play basketball and tour the country for only so long may as well do it as long as possible and then retire when he is in his late 30s. (though i think he is like 36 right now?) he probably just enjoys playing basketball thats all...he was pretty professional in his time here...though i am more than happy with the upgrade we have at PF now he can still be a good locker room guy for someone out there
with the nuggets??? sorry, my sarcasm meter might be off. I understand the prolonging of the career and enjoying as much as you can while you can outlook and I certainly don't fault players for hanging on as long as they can. But it was evident not many teams were interested in Jho and now he's just training camp fodder. From Fab Five to scrub status, I would have just left on a high note and retire while holding my head high. Plus he's disgustingly rich...some might say undeservedly rich but hey he got paid. Now he's just accepting whatever crumbs the NBA throws at him. Sad irony.
Howard has become what you call a "ring hoe". You see sometimes hoes get so old and useless that the players with all the jewelry don't want them anymore. So, they settle for whoever will take them.
Once again, someone failed to read the fine print. As a Rockets fan my only wish was that a team that actually mattered picked up the curse. Spurs, Lakers, Jazz of the sort... All Nuggets did was multiply their curse by a factor of lottazillions. Possible side effect of the deal? Things will be a little rosier up in Dallas this year because every team that has dumped Juwan, has ended up with better outlook the following year. And people, please cut that "play for championship" crap out. If you are joining the Nuggets for a ring, not only should your competence be in question, but so should your sanity.
Major sarcasm intended there. I should have put a wink in there or something. Just having fun with the fact that the Nuggets are destined for yet another mediocre year combined with the Juwan Howard "curse" element.
cant defend. check cant rebound. check always was a great professional and citizen though. i'll give him that.
