What do you expect? He wants to ban handguns and CCW and the NRA gets money from people who want to carry handguns.
Didn't expect anything, I just thought the ads were provocative and newsworthy, considering the kind of clout the NRA has in that area.
I have yet to see the NRA have anything more than distaste for a Democrat. Even the ones who have great gun rights records, they just sort of ignore them, saying nothing bad but nothing good. It just doesn't make sense for a Democrat to try and court the NRA. There is no upside. They won't get anything for it, and they might hurt themselves with their base. That is just the way it is.
They endorsed Lampson even though it gave the Dems a numbers advantage. They go with known quantities in the even of an unavailable or unreliable survey.
Ottomaton, I appreciate your support of gun rights. I know you are in a tough position with your peers and I'm sorry for that...But thank you for keeping the stance of valuing gun rights... I know some Democratic politicians have a great gun rights record. That is not lost.
i'm not anti-gun by any means, but i really, really, really don't understand the NRA crowd. explain to me why guns are such an important part of our democracy again?
First, it probably has to do with that 2nd Amendment thing ........... Second, it probably has to do with the shooting Bambi thing ............. Third, heck I have no idea................good question.............
