With the three games so far, are you still excited about the what the newcomers can bring to this team?
As stated in an earlier post: This team is based on a couple of superstars and role players who collectively play as a unit based on their stars. But when half our core isn't there then the team is not going to perform well. When Nash was out for 5 games last year they went 0-5 in that strech. That didn't mean Bryan Colangelo wasn't gonna win GM of the year. CD def is in the position to win GM of the year but it is just to premature to speculate on it. Only time and wins will determine that.
No. I've lost all faith in this team and CD because of the last 2 games without McGrady. 1-81, here we come.
There is only one superstar on this team. Yao is a pu*sy. Never mind just 4 rebounds, or his pathetic shooting, or the numerous times he was stripped or blocked when it should have been a dunk, but letting little Jameer bump him off and hit a layup takes the cake. Absolutely Pathetic!
Wow, you define the word band-wagoner. You guys are the same people that will damn van gundy first half the season and then call him the best coach ever when our team has an incredible second half. This is the same situation as last year in the case that its a bunch of new players trying to get adjusted to the play. Not to mention the fact that we lost T-freaking-Mac for three weeks. Its not like we are getting blown out. We are just having trouble stopping the surge in the final minutes. Thats not because the players flat out suck. Its just that they need time to learn to play without their number one player, and count on themselves.
Don't get me started. I'm on record as not having any faith in Dawson as a GM but in all fairness the 3rd game of the season is a wee bit early to start slinging rocks at CD.
Let's make that one superstar and role players. I thought our role players was just as good as the Spurs, but these past 2 games has brought me to my senses.
I am really excited about our GM -Van Gundy picks out needs and CD uses the phone and capologist knowledge to get the deals done. I am pleased with Derek Anderson's passing and playmaking. I am very happy with Rafer's passing and ball handling. We signed Bowen on the cheap, signed Dikembe and Barry is back. Our GM position by committee is working quite well. There is never enough time in camp and pre- season to fine tune a team so it is prepared to lose it's lynchpin player. We are going to adjust to playing without T-Mac and become a better team when he returns.
