As I stated on another post yesterday that YAO should not be playing injured in a meaningless game, look what has happened! This freaking idiot coach has keep pushing and has put next season in jeporady all ready with this unnecessary injury to YAO. How can you continue to make poor choices with the Franchise Players on this roster and expect not to be fired? Yao is the single most important player not only on the ROX but in the NBA and you allow Van Goofy to get him injured in a meaningless game!!! Sad, clueless leadership from the top of this organization. Someone should have stood up to this "Millitant Midget" and ordered him to sit YAO down after he was injured the first time. Now the offseason will be spent wondering if the two franchise players on this team will even be ready to play next season. This is the last straw! The idiot coach must be fired! It is time to start fresh with a new coach, a new offense and definitely some new players to play along side YAO and TMAC!

I absolutely can because Yao was injured before he went out to play last night in meaningless game and the idiot coach did not pull him from the lineup. He was limping when he first took the floor last night and playing on the injured ankle led to YAO breaking his foot!

Is there a good reason you posted this here instead of in the existing 10 page thread about Yao's foot?

I don't know if you're aware of this, but the NBA is a business. Further, it's a business that makes much of it's revenue by selling tickets. Yao Ming sells tickets. In fact, Yao Ming gets paid to sell tickets. If Yao Ming is capable of playing basketball, he must go out there and put asses in seats. That's what he gets paid nearly 100 million dollars for.

You're completely delusional if you think the NBA is about anything more than the bottom line.

He is partially responsible. At this point of the season, he should have shut Yao down for one game, at least, and not having him play back to back after Yao got hurt in the previous game. He should have given young players more minutes to evaluate who should stay and who should leave next year because the remaining games only have the same value as preseason games.

But of course all he cares is the record. That is the thing that will be written on his resume. After all, even he doesn’t know how long he will stay as the head coach of Houston Rockets. The record will go along with him wherever he goes.

Watch the next game against Minnesota, will they pull their franchise player out of the game? People pay money to come to games to see Houston field the best team they can possibly field. If I went to the Rockets game and Yao was healthy enough to play and not on the court, I'd be pissed. A sprain and break have little to do with one another. Blaming a coach for a broken bone is like blaming the President for Katrina. Neither caused a natural phenomena. Neither is God or has God like powers, so relax and enjoy a mouth full of bad luck with the rest of us.

Those people defending JVG and trying to limit the number of threads dedicated to discussion of Yao's injury are doing this because:

THEY WERE CHANTING "KEEP PLAYING YAO". THEY ARE DEFENDING THEIR OWN STUPIDITY.

all I want to know is.....

How does Yao having a hairline(as reported on the broadcast) fracture of a small bone endanger next season?

Disregarding the obvious over-reactions..6 months?? unlikely...try 6-8 weeks(at the most)
Im not sure where the 6 months crap came from...but it woul dhave to be one helluva major break for him to be out 6 months.

you people really need to see about some Praxil or something like that....evens you out.

Yea blame all the injuries on Van Gundy  We should be proud of the fact that our coach and players won't quit even when the only thing to play for is pride...
