    11 and 6 = 50 wins: possible?

    39 - 26

    17 games left

    11 and 6 = 50 wins

I can't even remember the last time the Rockets had a 50 win season.

    I just checked.

The 1996-97 team went 57 and 25, so it's been seven long seasons, since the Rockets have gone 50+.

    We're due!

    I sure wouldn't mind 46 wins and a championship. :)

Wouldn't it be odd to win 50 games and still get 7th seed?

50 wins would be a nice number. Going 11 and 6 the rest of the way, added to this current win streak (16-6 to close out) would also be niiiiice.

As long as we get in the playoffs, and with some momentum.

11 games one the road, 10 against above .500 teams. It's not gonna be easy, but if the Rockets can continue the way they are playing right now, we have a really good chance.

This puts at 12 and 5...51 wins for the season. We might lose the Dallas game and the Sacramento game, but both of those are at home and we might win the Laker game or the Nuggets game on the road. So I think 12-6 is a fairly good asumption.

besides the kings, we can beat any of the teams. we've actually taken care of business against teams under 500 this year, i just hope we can beat the spurs once and the kings once.

I feel like we could beat anyone right now, Kings included. They seem like they have the mindset down, but who knows? Mental lapses are so unpredictable.

aren't we going to have 11 games on the road? I just don't think we can win that many on the road. If we can finish up 11-6 like you said, then we'll be in WCF.

Hey Yipang, the Spurs swept us in all four meetings this year. We're done with them. Looking at the schedule 50 wins (or a win or two above that) seems like a definite possibility this year while the playoffs are a definite probality about now. We can still beat the Kings two times although its very unlikely unless we really play out of our heads. Our 5 game winning streak right now is real nice, everybody is clicking and there's no issues on the team besides to march to their first playoff birth since the lockout season. I'll go on record to predict that the Rockets will finish 12-5 the rest of the way to put us at 51 wins with us losing to the Kings once, Lakers, either the Jazz or the Sonics, the Bucks, and the Blazers. Now we can possibly lose both the Kings game, be tired on the back-to-back and lose to the Nuggets, and/or lose to the Grizzles. It's just my fearless prediction. I think the Jazz get in as the eighth seed and knocks Denver out of the playoff picture. Jerry Sloan should get serious consideration for coach of the year.

Good teams are .500 on the road. We are right at that point now. I would think that we'll probably go 6-5 or 5-6 in the last 11 road games. If we do, it means we need to basically win out our home games.

It is possible, but I'm not going to hold my breath at this point. Just get into the playoffs and we'll see what happens.

I agree with Jeff. It's highly unlikely. We'd have to win at least 5 of the 11 road games, and all the home games.

If we get 50 though, I'm pretty sure we'll top Dallas. Dallas has 10 of it's last 18 on the road, and they're as horrible on the road as we are against the West.

If memphis drop a few, we can take them too, but their schedule is too easy for them to slip up so much.

lets bring this issue up again.

previous to the 5 game winning streak:

66% of you said they cant get 50 Ws.
    19% said 50 Ws.
15% said over 50 Ws is going to happen.

Do You Believe the Rockets will get 50Ws? Yes or No.

They're still too inconsistent to get 50W. But that doesn't mean I don't think they'll make some noise in the playoffs, baby! :D

I voted YES but I am not really concerned about our record. I just want us to play the Timberwolves first round!

Our schedule down the stretch is just too tough. Then again, if we play the way that we've been playing lately, anything can happen.
