Are you happy that we now watch a young team struggle to find its way, playing inconsistently, unable to move the ball well, can't rotate defensively, turning the ball over and over, giving up easy baskets. And in the midst of all that, we see young players getting minutes and showing what they can or cannot do. We see glimpses of brilliance and potential for the future.

Do you like it? Or did you prefer we fielded a rotation of Camby/Scola/Parsons/Harden/Dragic/Lee/CBud instead?

    Prefer it. More upside.

Last team we knew that the best they could ever do was get a 7th seed at best...maybe even get a upset if they were lucky but that is it.

This team just has more upside. More room to improve. So it's exciting.

I'm loving it because it's not that much different from last year where I wanted us to lose big after we lost a few and wanted us to win big after we won a few. Hovering around .500 with a veteran team is much less fun than hovering around .500 with a young team that can't play defense and still has a bright future. That team last year was going nowhere.

I'm ecstatic. I hope we only make minor tweaks at the deadline. Aside from the coaching, which admittedly could be worse, I'm really happy with the team.

This is the youngest team in the league and we are 9-11 to start the season. We have a number of new rotation players, our coach needed to take a break for a serious issue, one of our main draft picks' situation is total chaos, our most tenured players has been disappointing and we have some good talent on the bench which has not seen many minutes.

It's hard to complain about the overall situation, even though there are things to criticize. To be the youngest team and start the season 9-11 is an accompishment worth being proud of. We're roughly a quarter of the way through the season - if we improve steadily in each of the coming 3 quarters, we might even make the playoffs.

I wouldn't know. Haven't been able to watch a game yet like mostly everyone else. Out of sight, out of mind.

Now. Younger. More athletic. Faster. More exciting prospects.

The Lakers are 9-12..with a loaded roster....we have a better record with the youngest team in the league...im satisfied with the results so far

Young players are always viewed more favourably by other teams, because the assumption is that young players have higher upside and will get better (although this isn't neccessarily true).

So if we can get some young guys to put up some stats, that increases our odds of improving one way or another in future years!!!

i love it, yes we are losing, but the tram is learning how to win as most of our losses are close, mental lapses are bou d to happen due to the Rockets youth, such games will make them tougher

Agreed. This team is way more fun to watch than the teams fielded over the last two seasons. We aren't full of veterans who have reached their peak or are on their decline. If we get the same results with this team that we've gotten over the last few seasons, at least we've done it with players who are going to get even better over the next couple of seasons.

Check out the Bobcats and the player they tanked for and how frustrated they are with the current losing streak they have. If that was our team here on Clutchfans, I wonder how people would react to that mess. Oh wait, I know-- they'd cry about it as much as they're crying about the current Rockets team right now. Even though that's what they wanted all year last year. Or what would they say if we had their coach instead of Kevin McHale... oh wait, same thing. They'd be screaming for a new coach.

    Clutchfans=Never satisfied.

He was always a pretty solid player, just a question of his shot.

A bigger question is, what kind of team he needs to be effective. I have to admit that I have serious reservations about the Harden/Lin fit going forward.

I guess it's more a question of coaching and whether Rockets can get the best out of them.

I like it, just because of the faster ball movement and greater team upside.

No doubt this oath is preferable to ranking a season in the hope that maybe you get a top 3 pick that pans out. Harden was a master stroke. As was Asik. Lin needs to build on the spurs game but I think he can. In Morey I trust. I see us barely missing the playoffs this year, signing josh smith and using morris, Patterson and/or Jones to move up in the draft and, voila! Next year we crash the playoff party, win a round and are the NBA's "it" team.
