Lately I've a lot of "biggest game of the season" this or "most important game" that...but I havent seen any reason to consider any particular game to this point more important than any other...a win is a win is a win... HOWEVER, I think we are now entering a five game period that will ultimately make or break the Rockets' play-off run. At no other time will we have an opportunity like this. Just look at Phoenix's next games - @Utah Houston @Portland Boston @Dallas And Houston's Golden State @Phoenix Indiana New Jersey San Antonio This is what the schedule tells me: We can leap-frog Phoenix in this five game period. Should we lose ground on Phoenix during this period, I think the play-offs will have to wait til next year...But THIS (beginning tonight with Phoenix vs. Utah) is the most crucial time for the Rockets! hold on tight! here we go! weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!! ------------------ "I hate every ape I see - from chimpan-a to chimpanzee. Beating the Suns on their floor is big. Dallas has a tough stretch coming up too. MN doens't have a cake walk. We are going to have to tighten our belts though, and let's hope the "I" bug stays away!!! We need Hakeem back, and Taylor and Mobes healthy would be great! After last night, it looks like those two may be close to 100%, other than Mobley's shooting from the field being off. ------------------ There is a very fine line between "hobby" and "mental illness." Phoenix has 7 back-to-back games over the rest of the schedule, while Houston only has 3. Phoenix also has played 2 fewer games to this point. Maybe the youth and fresh legs of the Rockets carries them into the 8th playoff spot over the Suns. ------------------ "We're growling more...I would not say it's a growl. Step 1: Phoenix needs to lose to Utah Result: Success Step 2: ROckets need to beat GS REsult: TBA ------------------ "I hate every ape I see - from chimpan-a to chimpanzee. No, you'll never make a monkey out of me." - From the 'Planet of the Apes' musical on the Simpsons
The Rockets will beat GS. They just need to win tomorrow. A loss tomorrow would finish the Rockets, but a win could give them a lot of momentum. The law of averages says that the Rockets have to beat a good western team eventually. Hopefully tomorrow. ------------------ "Rarely is the question asked: Is our children learning how to put food on their family while being put to death."
