    Despite the recent loss, this Rockets team can beat SA, and now it looks like GSW is hobbled without KD and Cavs without Love, we have a shot.

    Even if/when KD and Love return, there's no guarantee the teams will gel back right away. This is as good of a moment to strike as any in the last few years.

    This team CAN beat anyone. That's why I'm going to be biting my nails for the rest of the season and playoffs. They can beat anyone, but they can also implode.

    Tonight's Cavaliers game would be a big morale booster if they can play hard/competitive for 48 minutes, win or lose.

    This team can beat anyone in a single game, but that's not saying much, the Jazz, the Grizzlies and the Thunder can say the same. The question is "can this team beat anyone consistently?"... eh, i'm not sure we have the talent and the mentality to do that. I just hope to be wrong.

    Can we play top 10 defense for 3 quarters? That's what it will take. We've maxed out our offensive capability, twice over. Yes I understand this is a garbage set of individual defenders, minus 2-3 guys. But if they do it, we can win it all.

    I think we absolutely have the talent. We've seen this team play very strong this year when motivated. Then sometimes they let off the gas and disappoint.

    How the boys respond in this game should set the tone for the rest of the season and into the playoffs. This team seems to communicate more and have more fight in them then last years. I have hope we can take this one.

    How many more wins would the Rockets have if they played defense and rebounded like it really mattered? 5+ more wins? I think so.

    I believe playoff intensity bodes well for this team.

    That's true, but I never expected this group to play that kind of defense for 82 games. Especially not in the first season of MDA.

    What I'm asking of them is to try their hardest do it for 15-20 regular season games and the playoffs now that they've mastered the offense and seen its potential. They can run this offense with their eyes closed right now. I know these are not the most focused defensive guys, but it's not a lot now to hope for elevated defensive concentration in 3/4ths of a few dozen games.

    We need some luck to win. All champs do. But we have to make sure we do the work to take advantage of the lucky streak when it comes.
