Just checking because many people felt it would be a different story tonight but it wasn't (except TMac didn't feel like playing). Scola upstanged hayes so we'll see. That's the only battle for the starting as of now

scola played really well in fact i think he'll be starting instead of hayes now.

    PG: Rafer
    SG: T-Mac
    SF: Battier
    PF: Scola
    C: Yao

those will probably be the starters

PG is up for grab. But looks like Adelman trust Rafer with the ball more at this point. Late game 1, James was on as the PG and our offense was a mess. Who Adelman sub in? Rafer in, and James out.

I think out of respect Chuck will probably start on opening night, also I expect Scola to provide quality relief for Yao at Center. In fact, Scola is probably better suited as a center in Adelman's offense. So look for Yao to still operate mostly in the low post(which is good) and have more rest (which is good)

    PG: Rafer/James/Francis/Brooks
    SG: Bonzi/T-mac/Head/Francis/James
    SF: T-mac/Battier/Bonzi/Harris
    PF: Scola/Hayes/Battier
    C: Yao/Scola/Mutumbo/Butler

    so ..many...guards

Nah, I think T-Mac will be the starting SF.

We have too many talented guards to just leave them on the bench. I think Mike James and Alson will be the starting guards. Bonzi and Francis will be reserves.

T-Mac will start at SF ( If he's not traded to the Lakers ), and Battier will be a reserve player this year.

Of course Yao will start at center.

Dude, he's not getting traded. I'm not sure if you are serious or not, but get over that already

Yao, TMac and Battier will start. Adelman all but said those three will definitely start at media day. PG and PF are still up in the air, but who really cares? It doesn't matter who starts as long as the team on the floor wins.

    Rafer/James
    Tracy/Francis
    Battier/Bonzi
    Scola / hayes
    Yao / Deke

Rafer starts for the first 6 minutes and james takes over for the last 6. the only reason deke is not playing alot of minutes now, is because were trying to perserve he's energy. i see him starting to get some minutes in our last two preseason games to get himself ready for OCT 30.

I don't think there should even be a debate on whether Hayes will start over Scola. Scola has already shown that he is by far better than Hayes.
I think Hayes has to play well otherwise Harris is on the wing waiting for a chance.

I think Rafer is heads and shoulders above the rest, only because he can pass it to Yao on the inside no problemo, and that factor alone is enough to make him start.

If Scola keeps rolling he will definitely start over Chuck. PG is up for grabs between MJ and Rafer.

The more interesting game is guessing who makes the team and who gets cut or traded.

    C- Yao/Deke/hayes
    PF-Scola/hayes/Landry
    SF-T-mac/battier/harris
    SG-LUTHER HEAD/bonzi/snyder
    PG-Skip/james/francis

I think aldeman loves skip and luther in his system too much to not put them in his starting lineup...I think stevie's and mike's playing time will Majorly be based on matchups so both of them are interchangable...brooks goes to the d-leauge and possibly harris and landry...JL3,Sura,novak,and butler get cut

Yea, he looked real good last game and apparently is doing very well in practice.

I don't know for sure, but as weird as it sounds, Francis may be riding the pine a lot this year.

    i dig this one!

at first i thought maybe tmac should start at the three. but now that we have scola on board your idea seems about right to me. with chuck there was much less offense out there. scola balances everything out.

then you have scoring punch off the bench with bonzi, james, and francis.

i feel like yao isn't expending as much energy this year. he never really seems that winded to me. maybe this new offense allows him to work less and thus have more energy throughout the game.

Where did you come up with this? Adleman has said that Hayes has had a terrific camp and that they were really surprised by what a great passer he is in the high post.

I think the most important thing for Scola is to not get into foul trouble. At this rate, if he can do that, he'll be starting at PF. PG on the other hand is still up for grabs. I think the best thing you can ask for is that there's serious competition for the spot, and we have that.

    Francis
    McGrady
    Battier
    Scola
    Yao

    Skip
    James
    Bonzi
    Hayes
    Head
    Deke

This would be my rotation. One of our guards will be shafted hard on playing time unless we make a trade.

I'm here to eat my hat!

A month ago I was showing Rafer and Hayes the door - thank goodness the management don't pay me much attention.

    Alston
    McGrady
    Battier
    Scola
    Ming

    James
    Head
    Wells
    Hayes
    Mutumbo

    Francis
    Harris

Brooks/ Butler off to DLeague, and one of either Snyder or Landry will join them.
