Hopefully, the Rockets are going to be able to rise to the occasion and make the playoffs next year, while attracting the attention of the leagues top players eyes to the Rockets. By next year this team will be the best team to come join to win a Championship. Griffin has really given Houston alot of flexablity, which should save us some cap room for next year. Now we don't have to feel obligated to use all our cap space on Webber anymore,(even if Webber was ever an option), and next year we can take our final step to the building a championship and trade anyone on the Rockets except Francis,Mobley,Griffin or Mo-T to aquire Duncan anyway possible. With Duncan becoming a free agent next year(I think), and as long as the Spurs don't make any big trades this year. Duncan can be aquired. San Antonio will not make it over the top to win another championship if thet do not make a big trade. There age is catching up to them. I was expecting that Payton would go to SA, which would put SA in position to be able to win another championship, but with the talk now that Payton may be going to Minnesota. SA will need to find another top guard, and it seems that all of them will be traded to other teams other to SA. Advantage Houston. I just don't see SA winning it next year without a big trade, which would mean, Duncan may be looking to move to another top team and Houston can be the place next year. With the talent Rudy and CD have put together now, and with one year for them to gel together a little more, the Rockets could just be a "Duncan" away from a NBA championship!
