Thought I'd make a few comments about some of the games...

Has anyone played the Crysis demo yet (available at EA.com IIRC)? I thought my PC would do a decent job at running the game (X2 4200+ @ 2.4 GHz, Nvidia 7900 GT that is overclocked to 550 MHz, etc.), but I couldn't even really get a decent framerate on the medium settings (w/o any AA and at 1280x1024 too IIRC). At the medium settings, the game doesn't really look all that great anymore (and it it still doesn't run too well IMO). Maybe just an unoptimized demo, but I was hoping for better results. I knew I wouldn't be able to to run the game at ultra-high settings @ 60 FPS with 4xAA, but I was expecting a little better. The game does look gorgeous on high settings though, even though it was more of slideshow than a game for me. And the gameplay itself is pretty interesting. Didn't really get a chance to play around with it as much as I would have liked, but I did enjoy the different types of gameplay mechanics you could use (EX: stealth vs um...not stealth). I felt like it could use a little bit more tweaking in some areas though (seemed like the enemies took too much damage to kill).

Wasn't sure if this was going to get any attention, but yeah, I think I might check out Bladestorm as well (glad Apollo Creed mentioned it first so I didn't feel weird). I thought it was going to suck (and it probably will get bad reviews), but I was addicted to the demo they put out a while back. I don't know why, but I just loved the gameplay so much. Not a must-buy or anything like that for me, but I'm probably more interested in that game than some of these other high-profile games.

Judging from the SP trailer I posted for UT3, I think we can all agree that it will definitely win at least one award for best story and originality in a video game, and it will probably edge out games like Mass Effect, Super Mario Galaxy, Halo 3, etc., for best single player campaign.

Oops. Yeah, I forgot about Contra 4. Been kind of busy lately, and I was trying to get this posted before Tuesday, so I guess I skimmed over some of the releases, missing a few key titles (especially on handhelds). Of course, in my defense, the developer for Contra 4 hasn't really made a good game in a while (if ever), so we might end up wishing we all forgot about Contra 4. Hopefully that's not the case though (thought I read some really positive impressions from Contra 4 a while back).

I also noticed that it seems like some of the dates I have are wrong. I started checking dates for these games about a week ago I think, so I guess Gamespot must have changed them afterwards. I'll probably wait until later to change them (kind of tired right now); feel free to mention any other games I might have left out, and I'll try to add those in tomorrow as well.
