but I reported that the Rockets were interested in Mo Taylor in February. My source in LA came through once again. I doubt if anyone remembers, but I did report that Mo could come in a trade involving Bryce Drew and/or Walt Williams. Again, not to take anything away from Feigen. My source confirmed what Feigen said and said it could actually be a sign-and-trade with possibly Drew but not Walt like in February. Or he could sign outright for the exception.

    Soone,

Just curious- according to your source, is Houston Mo's top choice, and if so, does he think that something will get done soon to make him a Rocket? Thanks for the info.

He badly wants to play for the Rockets. I'm not sure what the Sonics can offer but if it is substantially more than Houston than it could come down to the money in Seattle or playing for his top choice here in Houston. Right now it appears that he will take the exception. I don't believe that Seattle has a lot of money to offer though especially having to take care of Rashard and it may just come down to which team he wants and right now it looks like he will be a Rocket if that is the case. My personal feeling is that he will sign with Houston tomorrow.

If it's between us and Seattle, and if the only thing that would make him pick Seattle is money, he's coming to Houston. They're in a worse position than we are money wise, if I'm not mistaken (by which I mean that I don't think they'll be able to be under the cap following this season).

Soone, I think your source was referring to a deal near the trade deadline. That's why the mention in February.

About Mo signing tomorrow, it's easier said then done. Mo is willing to take the exception, but Falk obviously feels he can get a better offer. Thus the wait.

    Soone,

Are you sure that he badly wants to play here? If so, he's good as a Rocket. Seattle can't outbid us, and that's pretty much a fact, now and in the future. Unless Falk is up to something I think he'll come but it doesn't seem like he is at this point, esp. with Toronto signing Jackson today.

Sign Mo Taylor. Bench Kenny Thomas.
