to start off with, i didn't see the game the first time and only caught a clip on the late sportscenter...

but the reason i think steve got the technical is because on the replay he started yelling right when his body had turned towards a kings player. i don't think that was his intention i simply think he was turning around after the dunk and started yelling but the official was watching him and from the ref's angle it probably looked like he was yelling at the king's player. still very, very ticky-tack for a 2nd technical. what bother's me most is that if this had been in houston, the ref's definitely let it go, but in the NBA, home court advantage is mostly due to the refs.... oh well, we likely should have lost anyways and at least this way steve got a little extra rest...

Regardless of what the referee thought he saw, he should give it a little more time before deciding to toss a team's best player during a crucial moment of a game with playoff ramifications. If he had watched all of Steve's reaction, he would have realized that he was not taunting, but merely yelling for joy.

Bronx -- getting a technical foul (even a first one in the game) for yelling out some joy towards a Kings player! PLEASE!! He didn't do it right in his face, it was just for a split second as he was moving away from him!! THAT CALL WAS A TOTAL LOAD OF CRAP, PURE AND SIMPLE!!

That call against Steve is undefendable. No excuse for Steve being ejected on that call, whether it was at home, on the road, on the moon, where ever. That call sucked.

The only effing excuse I'll accept from the effing refs tonight is that they effed up and forgot Steve already had one T.

    Anything else is effing out-rage-us.

wait a second.... i actually DON'T agree with the ref. the only reason for the post was to make sense as to WHY the ref may have called it, and the only thing i could see on the replay was the it looked like steve was yelling at the face of the other player for a split second. but i do agree that the ref should have waited a second before he decided to have called a tech.

Could be a learning experience for Stevie. Hopefully he learned to be a lil more careful, especially after already having 1 T.

The call was wrong but your best player can't be getting kicked out of games, just ask the Blazers.
