for now, take your time as soon as the draft is over then bring someone in. No need to bring someone in till after the 28th

who knows, it could be good, it could be bad. i haven't had many complaints about management, so it's kinda hard to start questioning them now.

That would be interesting, but they clearly need some basketball people. Maybe they feel they'll be OK for a while. They clearly finalized Adelman's staff pretty quick after Lindsey left. I'm guessing CD is only a "consultant" for a year? Need to go back and check that deal he and Les have.

    money saver.

probably the reason the rockets lost out on elie.

IMO it's important to put some vet front office minds in there to counter balance les' cheapness and morey's stat-only approach.

what's rudy T doing now? bring him in as VP or bball ops.

That was my thinking as well. Rudy would be the perfect guy.

Will Rudy bring back the glory of the Maloney/Cato/Taylor/Griffin/Turkcan genius moves years?

Lindsey was essentially replaced by Daryl Morey.

DennisCD is an insider...I know that for a fact.

But honestly, who really cares. Don't think Lindsay did that much anyway. How necessary is that position? Hard to tell

what does a pres of bball ops do?

the title sounds like it describes the GM's responsibilities.

I wanted to start a thread on this, but would never get around to it.

What is the pecking order of an NBA Franchise?

You start with Owner, and then own down to ball boy.

Wow. That must be why he was sought after by an organization who has won 4 out of the last 9 championships.

The guy flat out knows basketball. Les should have promoted him and brought in Daryl beneath him for a few years so Daryl could have more time to adjust. I care that we lost DL, but I can't blame him.

I'll stop beating it to death when people stop beating to death the "bring back Rudy!!!!" fantasies.

He had personnel power, a lot more than his successor, and the Rockets end up hand-cuffing themselves for years after his retirement. Good coach, flat out terrible personnel moves.

did you really expect anything more?

I would assume a ballboy would have alot of time on his hands this time of year. hence all the misplaced aggression channeled towards the bbs.

cd prolly yelled at him for not wiping up the court well enough or peed on the toilet seat when dennis had to drop the kids off at the pool.

his insider status hasn't really provided much aside from a steady stream of cd bashing. woopity doo!

    How do you know?

I thought that's an apt description of your JVG.
