He sounds like Leonardo Dicaprio in Django Unchained...maybe a little bit? Or maybe more in his Howard Hughes movie?

Spoiled kids whose parents never told them NOT to disrespect authority like that.

There's a place and time to do this... not in front of the entire class.

This generation of kids sucks with their YouTubes and their Instagrams and what not.

Go home and cut your hair, hippie. Kudos to the teacher for keeping her cool like that.

"So don't try and take credibility for teaching me crap!"

I love it when stupid people try to sound smart by (mis)using so-called big words.

So you feel teaching students through packets of paper vs lecture is the way to go? At the end he did get disrespectful, but don't dismiss the understandable frustration.

That's what happens when teachers don't do their jobs.

I can not agree with this. He was obviously frustrated with her teaching skills or lack thereof. Kudos to him for having the ability to say what he did and prove his point. Also, why does his hair bother you? Are you bald?

^ Nope. Not bald. The hair gets in the way and is a distraction when teaching AND learning.
    No.
He was disrespectful the entire time time and disobeyed direct orders from the teacher. You have a beef with her, take it to the principal. You have a beef with her and the principal won't listen, take it to the principal's boss. There are ways and avenues for all this. You want to have a picket line outside to tell people you don't like that teacher and her methods, go right ahead.

You DO NOT disrespect a teacher in the classroom like that even after she has given you a direct order to leave. Kids nowadays think they can get away with anything.

The sad part isn't what he said is true, but that the rest of the students were not even conscious of the point he was trying to drive home. They just giggled out of amusement.

I appreciate the effort of the kid. He obviously felt his frustration bubbling over, and I have to applaud the fact that he clearly WANTS to learn, but feels like the teacher is not qualified to do so. I'm willing to bet that the school is probably more interested in disciplining him rather than listen to anything he has to say, however, and THAT'S the crux of the issue. Public schools have no interest in actually EDUCATING our children in what's important. It's all about garnering more funds, and the way to do that is by increasing testing to show results that the kids are performing. Forget the fact that they've reduced standards so badly that a child barely has to have the reading comprehension of a 5th grader to pass now.....it's all about getting that Exemplary Rating!

Seems disrespectful, but he might be really frustrated, more context is needed to make a proper judgment.

Perfect illustration of the need for retroactive euthanasia.

I'm sure his parents are so proud.

He is an 18-year-old sophomore who dropped out of school and then returned, according to WFAA-TV (Channel 8).

Hair is distracting to learning? Lol. Don't worry, we'll get off of your lawn.

I had hair not much shorter than his through high school and college. Had absolutely no affect on my grades or ability to learn.
