I watched All My Children with my mom when I was in junior high. I still remember Erica Kane and all the drama that surrounded her life those three years. That was quality TV right there.

I can't remember her name, but i did some IMDB work, and it said she was on Big Brother, the spanish version.. I think it was Passions. That was pretty good. They were vampires or something?

LOL. Awesome. That's exactly what I used to watch at that same time. I never watch soaps but that was my freshmen year in college (1991) and I went home around noon everyday to eat lunch. Being in Waco there were only like 5 channels and 4 of them had soaps. It was either that or People's Court and I hate that stuff. I remember that Tad drama. Watched that show for two semesters
Can I get an AMEN!!!! Luckily I understand quite a bit of what they're saying but then I realize I'm only watching because the chicks have huge racks,pretty faces and wicked tempers. If american soaps had more hotties like the telenovelas, then I'd watch them. Another show I've been watching is footballer wives on BBC america(I think).. Major Babes and Soccer. Oh Yeah!!!

My wife and I used to watch Another World before it was canceled. When I was off in the summers we watched it everyday. I haven't watched a soap since they killed off all the characters that moved over to As the World Turns. Eventually though I will get to see it again. They are playing the reruns on the soap channel. They started in like 86 so in about 3 more years they may be caught up to a point where I may be interested again.

Freshman year of college, there were about eight of us who were addicted to Young and the Restless. It'd actually come on twice in San Marcos since the San Antonio affiliate played it at 3:00pm instead of 11:00am. After me and my girl broke up, I stopped watching. I caught Days of Our Lives every once in a while when I worked in the law firm in Austin. That's what everyone would watch in the break room at noon.
My wife does the EXACT same thing!!! She'll turn it on when I'm watching something else or whenever she has some time to herself. And I'll walk in and say, "how embarassing for you." I just can't get into it. From what I've caught there's some storyline involving cousins falling in love...because my wife is from Arkansas she hears it from me a bit on that! Of course I DVR History Channel crap that she calls "Nerd TV."
