    Not Again

Well, other than Nomar, I don't know of any other Red Sox fans on this BBS. As a matter of fact, some of you may be loving this, but Carl Everett is in trouble again. This guy has some serious problems, and I can't wait for the Red Sox to get rid of him although they may not be able to find anyone to take him off their hands. I was a little surprised that Duquette didn't take up for him this time; however, Duquette knows that he will be fired by the new owners. Before I provide the link I want to ask a question: was Everett this much trouble as an Astro and if he was how in the world did Houston convince Duquette to take him?

two years ago, this deal looked like a steal for the Sox. Everett is a great player, but I know Larry didn't like him and felt he was bad for the clubhouse.

Right now, Adam Everett is in the majors (in a limited role), and Greg Milller is a hard throwing lefty who could join the rotation in 2-3 years.

I didn't know Carl was hitting under .260 though. If he's gonna have a bad attitude, at least be productive, lol. That article had a list of things that Carl has done. None of it is real serious, but I think it speaks about Carl's volatile personality to have so many run-ins. Also, I didn't see that saga with his wife and kids listed.

The Sox have played worse since Williams left. I guess it wasn't his fault after all.

For those of you who want Carl back in Houston (I know there are quite a few), he's having a worse year then Richard Hidalgo. He sure as hell wouldn't be replacing Alou or Berkman.

I don't ever recall Everett being a problem here. Of course he came here right after his whole legal mess with alleged child abuse so maybe he was hanging low while in Houston. His behavior in Boston makes you wonder what is so different between the Houston and Boston clubhouses.

I'd take "C4" back anyday! CF is waiting for you next season. Doggie and Berkman on the corners.

My favorite player when he was here because he blew up and had attitude! Of course, he was productive.

LOL. That attitude can get annoying when you're hitting .257. I say if we're not gonna sign Alou, give Ward a shot somehow.

I was Everett's biggest fan when he was a Stro, and as a partial Red Sox fan, I supported him. Now, the Red Sox need to flat out cut him. They probably couldn't get a box of tacks for him at this point. And factor in that he hasn't done crap on the field, that makes him a prime target for a cut. I know his salary will be tough to swallow, but would the Red Sox be responsible for his ENTIRE contract?
