I'd like to think a huge weight was lifted off the Coogs' shoulders after stomping Rice. Coogs 40, North Texas 13.
If he doesn't get drafted in a late round, he'll definitely get signed to a team after the draft. He'll get his shot.
The only thing about Sims is his legs are really thin and this was a knock on Reggie Bush as well. I would wonder if he could take the pounding a RB takes in the NFL.
I doubt he leaves. His stock can only go higher next year. The new conference and tougher schedule and (hopefully) better team will elevate his profile.
A lot better chemistry with the receivers this week. Still has an awkward throw, but the first quarter was really a throwback to the Keenum days. Each TD drive was probably 1:30 or less.
Much better, but against weaker competition. Getting into a flow. At least there is some hope that this ship is starting to get some wind behind the sail and that Piland can at least move the ball own the field.
