Saw that it got 2 thumbs down yesterday when i was flipping through channels.

 

how do the previews look good to you? i can't help but think how bad the movie has to be every time the commercials come on.

 

it's sad ...but Eddie Murphy's movies have become re-treads ....and bad ones at that

 

Looks like a replica of the Nutty Professor to me..

 

Hasn't he made this same movie 3 or 5 times?

 

Note to self: never trust Lil Pun's opinion when it comes to what movies look good.

 

If you liked Little Man, I'm sure you'll enjoy Norbit.

 

9% from RottenTomatoes (including 4% from the Cream of the Crop). Yuck.

 

If I was given $10 and a free ticket, I still wouldn't go see this movie.

Why does Eddie Murphy even bother anymore. His last decent movie was the Nutty Professor like a million years ago.

YOu do realize he's nominated for a freakin' Oscar, right?

 

I think when this weekend is over, there's a good chance Norbit made a lot of money.

I got dragged to this last night. Fiancee wanted to see it, and a couple of friends. It was pretty cliche, for the most part, but I'll admit it had a few more laughs than I would have expected.

Theater was packed, though.

 

For a supporting role in a serious film...he hasn't made a decent comedy in ages.

 

Tough crowd here. I'm not going expecting any award winning performances. I'm just going to kick back, enjoy some popcorn, and get a few laughs. Those are my expectations, and I'm sure this movie won't dissapoint. I just want to be entertained.

Some people take themselves WAY too seriously in here.

 

I thought Bowfinger was decent. It's probably fun for him to do these movies where he has like 3 or 4 different characters, and as long as people keep going to see them I can't really fault him too much.

It is, of course, formulaic, but I think some people like that. Some people still laugh watching films when people get kicked in the groin. Personally the things that I find funny are things and connections that are unexpected juxtapositions, as his old Saturday Night Live stuff.

He's really good in the Shrek movies.

I don't think anybody expects Norbit to contend for any kind of critical appeal.. get off your high horses.
