With excess number of contract we have, do you think we'll finally use the D-league? If we send some guys to the D-league do we loose the our rights to those guys? I think the guys that are either trade or D-league expendable are: Snyder, Head, Butler, Alston, Harris, Landry, Lucas, Reed, and Novak. We don't need to get rid of all of these guys, but at least 5, right? Obviously Reed, Harris, maybe Butler, Lucas, and Novak? I would like to keep Snyder, Head, and Landry, but maybe we can turn them into picks with Alston and Sura's contract. (Sorry for the rambling) My main question is how does the D-League work and which Rox are placed there?
Do not send Snyder and Landry. We really need Snyder's and Landry's energy You all will see that Snyder will fly under Adelman, I tell you
First and second year players can only be sent to the D league. If you send someone to the D League, they still count against your 15 player roster. Personally, I'd send Novak.
I've said this before, I hope Synder shines under Adelman but Snyder plays a lot like Gerald Wallace(poor mans Gerald Wallace), and Gerald Wallace sucked under Adelman till he went to Charlotte
15 player roster is your full roster, or is it 17 with two non-active guys? Either way, 15 active guys: YAO, T-mac, Scola, Shane, Bonzi, Francis, Head, Mutombo, James, Brooks, Hayes, Snyder, Alston = 13 Does Sura Count? Then who? (Butler, Novak, Landry) That is 16 or 17. Leaves off: Harris, Lucas, and Reed? We aren't going to cut Lucas, Alston, or Butler (too much money), right? We just re-signed Hayes, Deke, Landry, so one would assume they are safe. The starting 5 are safe. So who goes? If Novak and Landry go to the D-league and still count aginst 15 or 17 (which ever it is), then it takes a place of one of the other vets. Who goes? One reason why I am happy we haven't cut our roster down is the fact we have a lot of guys that were hurt last year on our roster. We have more depth this year than we have ever had. Francis goes down, no problem. T-mac goes down for a couple of weeks not as big of a problem. Yao goes down for a couple of weeks, Deke has some one to split some time with.
Sorry Jeff/Clutch or anyone else.....I didn't realize there was a story on this. Please lock it up if you see fit.
I believe once you send someone to D-league, he will be on your inactive list. the inactive list works like the old injure list, but just on a day-to-day base. You can have 12 players on active list and 3 maximum on the inactive.
The situation sucks in a way because I really wanted to see what Harris could do...but The Rox will field an extremely talented team with alot of depth and I'm pretty excited about that.
Head's proven he's a valuable asset and Kirk I believe can really contribute to this team too. Rafer could too, but there's so much drama about the pg position that no one knows. In the interview he said he's not going to try to kill guys in the camp and at practices but I keep hearing it's going to be a very competitive camp, so who knows.
Actually, Gerald Wallace under Adelman never got playing time cause he got stuck behind their deep roster. He played behind Peja and Hedo at the 3 and Doug Chrisie and Jim Jackson at the 2.
JL3 is a no-brainer. Novak and Reed are probably gone. Sura's contract will probly be finally waived. Butler will probly be kept because he's big, supposedly talented and has a guaranteed deal that isn't so cheap. I think Snyder will be kept. That leaves Harris and Landry to fight for the final spot. There may be a trade in the works and Morey could just be waiting to see who RA wants to keep, but even if there is I don't think it'll be any type of big move, just something to save cap space and maybe get a 2nd rounder. The only thing that sucks about having a stacked roster is that unless you are trading for a star type player, you aren't likely to be getting anything back that would crack the rotation.
