Forget Obama, Clinton, McCain, Giuliani or others who're likely to run in the 2008 elections. Say you had the power to nominate someone who isn't likely to campaign for the presidency, who would be your choice? I guess I will start... Brian Schweitzer - Gov. of Montana (D) I like the guy, he's IMO one of the few politicians today that 'get it'. He's somewhat of a fiscal conservative, which is always a plus. He has a solid understanding of world affairs and is well-versed in Middle Eastern politics and culture, and he even speaks the language. His pet peeve is energy independence, but he's realistic about the steps that need to be taken and what should be done in the meanwhile to secure our energy supplies...he's a realist with ideals. Yours?

I know Rep. Paul pretty well and I am friends with his son, RP Jr. He had many death threats and some actual close calls when he ran on the Libertarian ticket years ago. If he asks his wife and children I think they would discourage him. He does have courage though; more than me.
How are we not? This is the greatest country in the world. The economy is great. The only downer I see is the war?
You really need to open your eyes then. This country is going to hell, and a large part of it stems from the inability to control the borders and the illegal invasion from the south.
Are you? No wonder the situation is like it is today, if most of the populace is as apathetic and ignorant about the situation about it as you seem to be.
