I'd like to go, but I can't, since I am attending a GALA that night. [that WASN't a question, I know ] Is anyone going? Will the Rockets be wearing a "Los Rockets" edition jersey like "Los Spurs" did on their Latino Night edition? EDIT: yes, as the link below says Will there be "Latino" half-time entertainment? Will the stereotypical jokes of "Latinos" be tolerated this one night? [I'm kidding!] I don't give a darn what kind of night it is. These are just interesting things to know. I hope they don't leave all the rest of the Latin American countries out of this and just make it a MEXICAN thing with only Mariachis. Read this. It's interesting. Argentina, México, Puerto Rico, República Dominicana, and España are all represented in the NBA. Yes, Hispanic . "LOS ROCKETS" is going to look SWEET: Spoiler
Wait so Noche Latina wasn't the Diaz/Maruqez Fight at the TC a few weeks back? Sure looked like Latin Night to me.
I sure hope it is Mexican themed, we don't have any Mexican NBA players that are worth a damn. Now Argentina, Brazil...hmm...hot Brazilian women...sorry I lost my train of thought

^ Nah. I disagree. The colors should remain. It should be a translation, though, just like "Nueva York." It should be "Los Cohetes" .
Yeah, when I got home from the fight and logged onto Clutchfans, I was glad I missed that game. Not only that, but the Houston boys lost their fights too. Bad night for a Houston fan.
ROTFLMAO =)) Darn. This isn't Yahoo! IM. Fail. ^ I meant: " " ... when I saw your nickname, mister 'YouKnowWhat". Nice one, sir... I like it. I respectfully disagree... I'm not the greatest fan of this campaign. Personally, I'd rather they just do throwbacks and stuff of that nature. Heck, do a night with black uni's. I'm sorry, I just don't get it.
rofl @ "Los Rockets is gonna look sweet." I dont care if it says 'Mein Rocketsenkeinen" or whatever ... we dont have "THE Rockets" on our jerseys so it makes little sense to do a random half-ass translation just for the sake of putting a non-english word on there. The only one that makes sense is Nueva York. I don't care about having a night to celebrate some culture, but it seems like a random and strange way to do it. Having lived in Brazil, I think it's kind of a strange night anyway. Its basically just like "south of the border night", lol. Anyway... end rant. Hope its fun.
I don't completely agree, either, but, hey, who is to argue here and who is paying the big bucks? Not us. The NBA is paying. While your point is well taken, napalm, I think it's just the way many sports commentators and people in other places call the teams. Many say "El Heat de Miami" and "El Jazz de Utah", but they also say "Los Suns de Finix" and "Los Rockets de Houston." Would you agree, then, sir... to have an "Asian Night" as well? I would like to see that; I think it would be fair.
Oops forgot to answer this. My point about Brazil was that there are SO many cultures down there that its hard for me to see the point of lumping Brazil in with latino night. The NBA is obviously just trying to milk money out of Barbosa/Varejao/Nene fans, which is no big deal, its business. I don't care if they have an asian night, a white night, a black night, or w/e... its not about being "fair". Life ain't fair!
Not "Los Cohetes" just "Cohetes", which reminds me when I was a kid visting my family buying fireworks in Piedras Negras. $5 american dollars buy you a BUNCH of "cohetes"!!!
